Model Idol Combi: there's always that first date

[ Makoto had heard it on the highest authority (Miki) that girls should always be fashionably late to their dates. It left the guy 'frothing with desire', or something like that. And she'd dwelt on it, she really had, even as she sifted through her closet for the sixth time.

Makoto has always been Makoto, though, and that meant she didn't feel right purposely taking her time. It's why she's waiting near the entrance-- has been waiting for ten minutes with the long black skirt and the white shirt with the artfully placed frills and the red heels that click so cutely when she walks. It's a far cry from the jeans and sweatshirts she usually runs around in.

But she'd like to think it's not bad. ]

... Let's ask the ride operator. I'm sure they've had stuff like this happen before.

Uh, if we do that it'll take too long to get another ride in. It's fine, I'll buy another one later as an apology.

[He'll probably have to buy another one to avoid the fangirls anyway.]

[ there's a pause, and then her eyes take on a brighter light of determination. ]

Hold my place in line for a second-- I'll be right back!

[ and she's off yet again. Without borrowing his jacket, but first things first. ]

Eh? Wait, Makocchi--

[... She's like a sprinter in those heels. There's not much he can do but wait like she told him to.]

... You didn't take my jacket.

[Even as he finishes his sentence lamely.]

[ it's warm enough outside! True to her word, though, Makoto doesn't take long at all. She's not gone for more than three minutes before she's back, not even out of breath and carrying a black hat with her. ]

Here... I asked one of the operators to keep an eye out for it, but he said I could have this one for the time being. I guess they fish out a lot of them every day!

I think you could probably make anything look good. [ she's still smiling anyway. ] But you're right, black's a good color on you.

Thanks, I think so too! [Kise shut up.] I think the photographer agrees, because last time he kept on putting me in dark clothing even though there was this cool shirt in a lighter colour out for me to try.

It makes sense! Your hair's so light that he probably wanted a good contrast.

[ she's right there along for the ride, sadly. ]

[But at least the one they're on isn't so lonely, and I'm sure this is a repeat of the previous round minus losing his hat; bursting with enthusiasm, laughter, and zero fear. These kids.]

[ these kids, indeed. Makoto's bangs are now clinging to her forehead and she's yet to stop dripping, but from the way she's grinning, it's like she doesn't feel it at all. ]

Definitely worth a second time!

[He's taking his jacket off, though it's not because he intends to put it over her shoulders like he was saying before.

It's because he's kind of soaking wet and so is the jacket. Treat Her Like A Princess Plan is in a bit of bind with that, damn.]

Are you sure you don't need to change?

[ this would be a good time to pull out her handkerchief like a good girlfriend and delicately dab at his face.

... Except even though she'd had good intentions in bringing one, she'd given it to someone on the train to help clean up their soda spill. Ah, hindsight. ]

I'll be fine; the sun's out in full force, so I should be dry in no time!

I guess it is pretty warm today... [Not like he can offer her a change of clothes either. Though speaking of, this jacket isn't going to shrink is it?

There's a brief silence while he attempts to squeeze some of the water out and check the washing instructions. Oh Kise.]

--Ah. right, what should we do while we dry off?

[He can at least keep giving her full reign over the day's plans. He'll eventually drag her to the haunted house and ferris wheel, don't worry.]

Are you hungry, or did you want to check out the roller coaster?

[Somehow, he manages to cut himself off. They're wet and if they go on it now, they might catch a cold because of all the wind. Giving Makoto a cold on their first date doesn't sound very appealing.]

I mean, we can get some cotton candy!

If you're okay with getting sticky... or maybe you're better at eating it than I am.

[He's taking her hand again, leading her over to where the food stands are supposed to be according to their map.]

[ she manages to suppress the blush this time, and thankfully, neither one of them is Azusa, or they would have ended up somewhere else entirely.

As it stands, they make it in one piece and in good time, while Makoto's still pondering this mysterious cotton candy trick. ]

[Once there, he gets them two cotton candy, handing off one of them to her.]

If you want to avoid getting sticky, the trick is [THERE IS NO TRICK] to take small bites and hold it like this!
