Model Idol Combi: there's always that first date

[ Makoto had heard it on the highest authority (Miki) that girls should always be fashionably late to their dates. It left the guy 'frothing with desire', or something like that. And she'd dwelt on it, she really had, even as she sifted through her closet for the sixth time.

Makoto has always been Makoto, though, and that meant she didn't feel right purposely taking her time. It's why she's waiting near the entrance-- has been waiting for ten minutes with the long black skirt and the white shirt with the artfully placed frills and the red heels that click so cutely when she walks. It's a far cry from the jeans and sweatshirts she usually runs around in.

But she'd like to think it's not bad. ]

[ her laugh's a contrite one; she shouldn't laugh when he's pouting, but she can't help it. She waits to reply until she's out and standing in front of him, though. ]

If I only liked one part of you, wouldn't that mean I didn't like you at all? That's not how it is.

[What is this overwhelming urge to give her a hug and just rub her cheeks until she looks like a hamster.

But he'll have to swallow that down because how strange would that be, doing that all of a sudden? He has to settle for holding her hand and adjusting his sunglasses so that they hide his face better.]

Makocchi, that's... [A foul, he wants to say, but he wouldn't be a good date handing out fouls after making her cry.] ... Um, I'm glad you didn't want to go home.

[ it would probably be for the best if he didn't squish her face up-- not that she's even aware of the urge. Instead, she glances down at his hand, then up at him. ]

I'm not the type to run away, even if things get a little tough.

[jitensha]

... U-um, not that I didn't run earlier, but... that's completely different! I still want to stay with you!

[Oh yes, he remembers how she ran. Still impressed by the way, and he'd suggest she join the track club.

But he's recovering right now, though that 'I want to stay with you' tempts him into calling foul. Again.]

Well... you only ran because the skeleton back there wasn't as good-looking as me, how about that? I couldn't blame you.

[jitensha]

... That's true! [ the look she flashes him is a grateful one. ] He really didn't have anything on you!

[And the one he flashes is... smugly. I mean confident, and a bit affectionate.]

That's what I thought! I can't have a skeleton stealing my date.

[jitensha]

I really wouldn't want it to.

[ yeah, she totally just shivered at the thought. ]

[Which he notices, and hopes to relieve with a playful swing of his arm, with his hand still holding hers.]

That's a relief, I wouldn't know what to do if you left me there.

[He's half-serious.]

[jitensha]

[ it serves to surprise her, and she blinks owlishly at their clasped hands before she gives them a swing of her own. ]

I would have come back for you! Definitely!!

[ after she stopped crying in a corner. ]

[Oh god they're going to just end up swinging their arms like little kids forever.]

Hmm, Armless-san said that you weren't moving from your spot... But I'll believe you, since it's you.

[jitensha]

... I had to regain my bearings.

[ she's pouting. A little. ]

Right right, you don't need to explain, I said that I believe you!

[jitensha]

Just... so you know. [ and yes, she's toeing the ground as the whole being in line thing happens. ]

[Wow, toeing the ground, swinging their arms... Are they elementary school students???]

Roger, Makocchi's really brave. [And yes, they're probably at the front again at this point, so they can be absolute giggly dorks on the ride.]

[ on the most kawaii date!!!

BECAUSE THEY SURE AREN'T ACTING MATURE ABOUT GOING ON THIS THING AGAIN. ]

[NOPE, NEVER. LAUGHING ALL THE WAY, PUTTING THEIR HANDS UP, GETTING WAY TOO EXCITED BEFORE FAST TURNS.

... And it's over, they're out, but he's still laughing.]

That's really good, doesn't that just wake you up?

It'd be nice if you could do that every morning as part of a wake-up routine! It really gets you energetic.

[ ... yep she couldn't be more chipper, though the second time around, she's a tad wobbly for the first few steps. They're dizzying things, coasters. ]

[So long as she's not about to trip... He'll catch her if she does though.]

Right after a morning run? I guess it would get you pumped up, but it's not like you can find one lying around.

[jitensha]

Probably not... [ she looks a little disappointed, though the look soon vanishes as her pace evens out. ] But I guess that's what makes it a treat!

Exactly~ Makocchi's really good at keeping the mood up! [Something else to be thankful for.] So what did you want to do now? Want to go on one more time?

[jitensha]

Actually, do you mind taking a detour for the game stands? We can always come back to this, but playing's easier while the light's still good.

Ah, sure, we can get something to eat too.

[He turns in the direction of the game stands, but he'll keep letting her lead him for now.]

[jitensha]

[ she'll rummage for the map then, so no hand-holding while she's unfolding it and studying it intently while they're walking. Thankfully, she's got a good enough sense of direction or balance that she isn't colliding with anybody. ]

They're really close to each other... which one did you want to do first?

[Oh good, though he'll kind of hover behind because even if she's a good runner in heels, tripping in heels is probably not fun.]

Hmm, maybe games? It's better to eat after you've used up some energy. [As if they haven't been using a ton of energy already.] But it's your choice today so I'm okay with whatever!
