Model Idol Combi: there's always that first date

[ Makoto had heard it on the highest authority (Miki) that girls should always be fashionably late to their dates. It left the guy 'frothing with desire', or something like that. And she'd dwelt on it, she really had, even as she sifted through her closet for the sixth time.

Makoto has always been Makoto, though, and that meant she didn't feel right purposely taking her time. It's why she's waiting near the entrance-- has been waiting for ten minutes with the long black skirt and the white shirt with the artfully placed frills and the red heels that click so cutely when she walks. It's a far cry from the jeans and sweatshirts she usually runs around in.

But she'd like to think it's not bad. ]

[ it is. It's not Makoto's first kiss entirely (her Juliet had unfortunately claimed that), but it's the first time someone's lips make something inside of her flutter. It's a little awkward at first; she's aware that her face has grown hot, and their lips aren't quite matched up, but he grants her enough time to adjust to it, enough to shift and bring their lips together in as soft a caress as he'd done it.

When she draws back, face still crimson, she feels uncharacteristically shy. ]

Ryota-kun... [ and she murmurs it, almost in wonder. ]

[There's a lot he can say here. That he's actually much better at kissing than it would seem. That he had wanted to do it before he lost his nerve again. That he hopes she isn't going to push him out of the car for this because it's a long way down and he could die or break every bone in his body or both; it'd be so tragic.

But her face isn't of someone who's mad at him. She'd even brought their lips together so...

Since actions speak louder than words, he figures it's possible to communicate all this in a second kiss.

I'm sure they can have a talk later where Kise cries about how he wasn't her first first kiss.]

[ they can, though Makoto might cry too. At least his kissing experience hasn't been traumatic.

This isn't, either. She didn't expect a second one, from the way she gasps a little against his mouth. But she also doesn't pull away. Maybe she understands. ]

[The thing is, this isn't actually a drama or a shoujo, so there's no way to know for sure until you ask.

Which he does, as he pulls away.]

Did you get that?

[Wow they could star in a cheesy commercial for cellphones, these two.]

I--

[ she stops herself from saying something stupid until she can think that question over. And then, after a moment of silence, she taps a finger to her cheek. Apologetically-- ]

I'm not sure. I kind of got a little distracted.

Eeeeh, but I was thinking so hard! Maybe if I try it from another angle?

[Sorry, she's not getting away that easily.]

E-eeeh?? You could just say it!

[ Kise no don't seduce her. ]

It doesn't work if you just say it, that'd ruin the whole thing! One more time!

Well alright, they're probably coming to the end anyway so that one more time may have to wait.]

Ryota-kun, we're going to have to get off in a minute, anyway...

[And she's right, they're pretty close to the ground now.]

Hmm, it's definitely disappointing but there's always next time I suppose.

Ah, no, the one who should be saying that is me. I mean, I appreciate it but it's not that type of thing, Makocchi...

I'm not sure how much effort you can put into it when you're on the receiving end... But it's definitely more my responsibility to make sure all my thoughts get through!

[ it's maybe the entirely wrong time to laugh, but she can't help it, reaching for his hand to lead him off. ]

No, it really might have been impossible... I wasn't able to focus on anything else, and it'd be bad if we held up the ride.

Wh-- [ she's really, really glad that it's harder to see just how red she's turning when it's already this dark-- but the way her palm grows warmer might give her away. ]
