Model Idol Combi: there's always that first date

[ Makoto had heard it on the highest authority (Miki) that girls should always be fashionably late to their dates. It left the guy 'frothing with desire', or something like that. And she'd dwelt on it, she really had, even as she sifted through her closet for the sixth time.

Makoto has always been Makoto, though, and that meant she didn't feel right purposely taking her time. It's why she's waiting near the entrance-- has been waiting for ten minutes with the long black skirt and the white shirt with the artfully placed frills and the red heels that click so cutely when she walks. It's a far cry from the jeans and sweatshirts she usually runs around in.

But she'd like to think it's not bad. ]

Don't worry, I have just enough for this one!

[This one being a ring toss, with the biggest prize (a monster of a bear) slouched on one side of the stand.]

[ ... that bear is almost as big as she is, Kise. And she has a few things she'd like to say about this, but she sighs after a minute and smiles instead. ]

[So the bear may be a tad too big to be cute, but it's just as fluffy and cuddly. Giving her a winning smile, he's all set to take this in one shot.]

[jitensha]

[ she knows him too well to doubt his prowess now, so she takes a step back to give him space. Truth be told, she never really tires of seeing Kise in action, anyway. ]

It probably wouldn't come as much as a surprise then that he doesn't have much trouble with this. He's not as focused as before but apparently his near childish competitive spirit made up for it.

He takes the bear with a big whoop after he's done, giving that poor vendor a big thanks in return.]

Here you go, Makocchi! This one can be Ryota #2!

So the first one was your cuddly side, and this one's for your height?

[ thankfully she'd won a bag to stuff her prizes in, the first bear peeking out of the top, since when she accepts this one, she practically disappears behind it. ]

Ah, that's one way to look at it! And when they fuse together, they make me!

[Kise what are you even talking about.

But the way she disappears behind Ryota #2 is not only cute but a safety hazard. He stands behind her as she gathers the bear up so that he can lead her by her shoulders.]

[jitensha]

That'd be too big a bear for me to handle...

[ and that's muffled, but strangely intrigued as she tries to lower the bear's head enough to see over the ears. ]

Ah, but are you ready to eat now?

[He's about to protest, but that question reminds him that he's gotten pretty hungry...]

Yep! But we can go see something else if you're not. Maybe a show?

[jitensha]

It's okay! It's a good opportunity to get our energy back up!

[ex_doubly406]

That's true, then, to the food~!

[All aboard the Kise Express I guess. Enjoy your complimentary loud and annoying.]

[ it's all good in her book. And yes, she'll treat to dinner/food/whatever this is. It's the least she can do after she broke his wallet. ]

[To be fair, it's only because he wasn't expecting her to go after all the games. He did bring a decent amount, just not enough to accommodate for all that. And man, she really did go after everything...

That's not what he's thinking about now though, chatting cheerfully with her (of course not while he's chewing).]

[jitensha]

[ always such impeccable table manners. Makoto's keeping up the conversation just as energetically, and she has to admit, for taking a break, there's no sense of restlessness about it. It's just nice.

Which is why she eventually lifts her eyes up with some regret. ]

It's getting darker already?

Hmm? [He'd been so immersed in telling that one story about the time he was at Seirin that he completely missed how dark it was getting. He can't help looking wistful too.] It is huh. That was fast.

[jitensha]

It could have taken its time.

[ don't get miffed over the natural progression from day to night, Makoto. ]

Right? Well, it's just how it is when you're having fun.

[He turns his attention back to her.]

Are you done? There's still a couple of things I want to show you.

[jitensha]

Yeah-- I'm ready when you are!

[ still so bright-eyed, too. Normal people would be a little tired by now. ]

[But they aren't normal people, are they. They're them.]

Great! [He holds out his hand for her as he gets up.] The date isn't over yet, Princess!

[jitensha]

[ just give her a minute to get her bag and get a grip on Ryota #2, monster bear that he is, and then she grasps his hand with what is a surprisingly good curtsy. ]

That's just what I wanted to hear!

[He gets a fond smile when she does that. For once, her trying to be more girly doesn't come off as too awkward.

Still talking a mile a minute, he leads her out and in the direction of the carousal. And when they get there, it's already been lit up though it's not quite dark yet.

That's exactly what he wanted though, because there's one more thing after this too.]

-- Aah! [ Makoto's got fond memories of carousels, and from the way her expression simultaneously softens and lights up, Kise's made a good choice. ] It really is completely different when it's all bright like this!

[Ehe, don't mind him looking proud of himself. Naturally he doesn't hold back as he starts on his grand exposition.]

It's the best when it is! And of course, it's a requirement for a date at an amusement park. You just can't go back without riding it!

[jitensha]

I wouldn't dream of it!

[ ... see, she's already close to dragging him, bouncing on the soles of her feet with ill-contained excitement. ] We have to find the best one, Ryota-kun!!
