Model Idol Combi: there's always that first date
[ Makoto had heard it on the highest authority (Miki) that girls should always be fashionably late to their dates. It left the guy 'frothing with desire', or something like that. And she'd dwelt on it, she really had, even as she sifted through her closet for the sixth time.
Makoto has always been Makoto, though, and that meant she didn't feel right purposely taking her time. It's why she's waiting near the entrance-- has been waiting for ten minutes with the long black skirt and the white shirt with the artfully placed frills and the red heels that click so cutely when she walks. It's a far cry from the jeans and sweatshirts she usually runs around in.
But she'd like to think it's not bad. ]

[Annnd... to save them from disaster (seriously, what happened), the bus that they need to catch whizzes by them as they stand a small distance away from the stop.
Welp. Time to run.]

OH... that was the bus. The bus to get her home, and it's driving away without them on it, and Makoto promptly forgets this (frankly pointless) argument in favor of getting a firm grip on her things, shooting Kise a wordless look of desperate determination, and if he thought she was fast before...
It's nothing compared to the way she sprints after the bus now. Not that Makoto can keep good time with a bus, but it won't be for lack of trying. ]
Waiiiiiiiiiiiit!

[She's still damn fast in those heels.
But Kise's got his height and legs, and while she's doing a great job of impressing him with her speed, she's not fueled by sheer terror right now. Also, there aren't any ghosts popping out that he can make friends with.
So after a moment he does catch up to her, and he's sure he can overtake her too. Which is why he grabs her hand.
They're probably not going to catch that bus, but at least they're not going to bicker about something trivial.]

Leaving them there, hand-in-hand. ]
There it goes...

I guess we have to wait for the next one, Makocchi.
[And he doesn't let go of her hand.]

That's a shame, someone should be doing that for you. But, if you were happy to hear that from me, then that's enough.

But you really didn't make it easy! This is the first time I made a girl cry and argue with me on a date! What's up with that...

[He leans in, almost as if they're going to kiss again.]
I didn't think you were difficult on the ferris wheel. [And then he's back to a more comfortable distance.] But I like how you think! That's a good way to look at it.

Thanks! I always just thought it made sense for get different feelings from people who have different meanings to you.

[Well, the only thing he can comfortably relate to with that is with basketball, and more recently her so...]
Hmm, it kind of does I suppose...

But, she's not most girls, right? The smile he gives her is a little crooked, and the way he releases his breath is almost resigned; this is what he signed up for after all.]

[She's right though, he doesn't understand. Not fully, anyway.]
You don't need to thank me for me that.
