Model Idol Combi: there's always that first date

[ Makoto had heard it on the highest authority (Miki) that girls should always be fashionably late to their dates. It left the guy 'frothing with desire', or something like that. And she'd dwelt on it, she really had, even as she sifted through her closet for the sixth time.

Makoto has always been Makoto, though, and that meant she didn't feel right purposely taking her time. It's why she's waiting near the entrance-- has been waiting for ten minutes with the long black skirt and the white shirt with the artfully placed frills and the red heels that click so cutely when she walks. It's a far cry from the jeans and sweatshirts she usually runs around in.

But she'd like to think it's not bad. ]

[ worry not, Kise.

One hand may be in the air once they rocket off, but the other one is winding past his arm and firmly clamping down on his hat to keep it in place as much as she can. ]

[Well this is new. He's never ridden on a roller coaster with someone shoving his head down before. First time for everything, right?

But don't worry, he won't let her do that the whole ride, as he lowers it himself when it slows at the peak. And before they speed off again, he does manage to get in a 'thanks'.]

[ it's the most she can squeeze out, and the rest of the time is spent laughing too happily to try and hold a decent conversation on a rollercoaster. ]

[He's right there laughing with her, throwing his hands up whenever it's appropriate and being a giant dork about the entire thing. Yeah he didn't laugh hard enough to start crying, but he just keeps on laughing all the way until the cars come to a halt.]

That was great! That drop just before, and the turn at the start--

[Yeah...]

I know! And that part where we went upside-down was the best!

[ wow it's like two little kids here. ]

[Guys please, at least act like teenagers.]

I thought I might lose my sunglasses there, but then we sped by it so quick, and there was that part when there were two hills in a row too!

[jitensha]

It was amazing, wasn't it? They weren't kidding about it being the fastest!

Definitely! Doesn't it make you want to go on it again?

[jitensha]

[ the producer would be gasping in exhausted horror right about now. ]

[ex_doubly406]

[Fortunately this is not the producer, this is Kise of the boundless energy.]

Of course we can, let's get in line now!

[He says before they're even out.]

[jitensha]

[ .... pfffft. ]

Ryota-kun, we have to get out first!

Ah-- [Oops.] I know that! I meant after we get out!

[jitensha]

Then-- ah, thanks-- [ as someone finally lifts the safety bar. ] Let's go! I like your enthusiasm.

[He'll help her out, even as he gets a confused pout.]

Huh? Not how princely I am?

[jitensha]

[ her laugh's a contrite one; she shouldn't laugh when he's pouting, but she can't help it. She waits to reply until she's out and standing in front of him, though. ]

If I only liked one part of you, wouldn't that mean I didn't like you at all? That's not how it is.

[What is this overwhelming urge to give her a hug and just rub her cheeks until she looks like a hamster.

But he'll have to swallow that down because how strange would that be, doing that all of a sudden? He has to settle for holding her hand and adjusting his sunglasses so that they hide his face better.]

Makocchi, that's... [A foul, he wants to say, but he wouldn't be a good date handing out fouls after making her cry.] ... Um, I'm glad you didn't want to go home.

[ it would probably be for the best if he didn't squish her face up-- not that she's even aware of the urge. Instead, she glances down at his hand, then up at him. ]

I'm not the type to run away, even if things get a little tough.

[jitensha]

... U-um, not that I didn't run earlier, but... that's completely different! I still want to stay with you!

[Oh yes, he remembers how she ran. Still impressed by the way, and he'd suggest she join the track club.

But he's recovering right now, though that 'I want to stay with you' tempts him into calling foul. Again.]

Well... you only ran because the skeleton back there wasn't as good-looking as me, how about that? I couldn't blame you.

[jitensha]

... That's true! [ the look she flashes him is a grateful one. ] He really didn't have anything on you!

[And the one he flashes is... smugly. I mean confident, and a bit affectionate.]

That's what I thought! I can't have a skeleton stealing my date.

[jitensha]

I really wouldn't want it to.

[ yeah, she totally just shivered at the thought. ]

[Which he notices, and hopes to relieve with a playful swing of his arm, with his hand still holding hers.]

That's a relief, I wouldn't know what to do if you left me there.

[He's half-serious.]

[jitensha]

[ it serves to surprise her, and she blinks owlishly at their clasped hands before she gives them a swing of her own. ]

I would have come back for you! Definitely!!

[ after she stopped crying in a corner. ]

[Oh god they're going to just end up swinging their arms like little kids forever.]

Hmm, Armless-san said that you weren't moving from your spot... But I'll believe you, since it's you.
