Model Idol Combi: there's always that first date

[ Makoto had heard it on the highest authority (Miki) that girls should always be fashionably late to their dates. It left the guy 'frothing with desire', or something like that. And she'd dwelt on it, she really had, even as she sifted through her closet for the sixth time.

Makoto has always been Makoto, though, and that meant she didn't feel right purposely taking her time. It's why she's waiting near the entrance-- has been waiting for ten minutes with the long black skirt and the white shirt with the artfully placed frills and the red heels that click so cutely when she walks. It's a far cry from the jeans and sweatshirts she usually runs around in.

But she'd like to think it's not bad. ]

It's okay! It's a good opportunity to get our energy back up!

That's true, then, to the food~!

[All aboard the Kise Express I guess. Enjoy your complimentary loud and annoying.]

[jitensha]

[ it's all good in her book. And yes, she'll treat to dinner/food/whatever this is. It's the least she can do after she broke his wallet. ]

[To be fair, it's only because he wasn't expecting her to go after all the games. He did bring a decent amount, just not enough to accommodate for all that. And man, she really did go after everything...

That's not what he's thinking about now though, chatting cheerfully with her (of course not while he's chewing).]

[jitensha]

[ always such impeccable table manners. Makoto's keeping up the conversation just as energetically, and she has to admit, for taking a break, there's no sense of restlessness about it. It's just nice.

Which is why she eventually lifts her eyes up with some regret. ]

It's getting darker already?

Hmm? [He'd been so immersed in telling that one story about the time he was at Seirin that he completely missed how dark it was getting. He can't help looking wistful too.] It is huh. That was fast.

[jitensha]

It could have taken its time.

[ don't get miffed over the natural progression from day to night, Makoto. ]

Right? Well, it's just how it is when you're having fun.

[He turns his attention back to her.]

Are you done? There's still a couple of things I want to show you.

[jitensha]

Yeah-- I'm ready when you are!

[ still so bright-eyed, too. Normal people would be a little tired by now. ]

[ex_doubly406]

[But they aren't normal people, are they. They're them.]

Great! [He holds out his hand for her as he gets up.] The date isn't over yet, Princess!

[jitensha]

[ just give her a minute to get her bag and get a grip on Ryota #2, monster bear that he is, and then she grasps his hand with what is a surprisingly good curtsy. ]

That's just what I wanted to hear!

[He gets a fond smile when she does that. For once, her trying to be more girly doesn't come off as too awkward.

Still talking a mile a minute, he leads her out and in the direction of the carousal. And when they get there, it's already been lit up though it's not quite dark yet.

That's exactly what he wanted though, because there's one more thing after this too.]

Here we are!

[jitensha]

-- Aah! [ Makoto's got fond memories of carousels, and from the way her expression simultaneously softens and lights up, Kise's made a good choice. ] It really is completely different when it's all bright like this!

[Ehe, don't mind him looking proud of himself. Naturally he doesn't hold back as he starts on his grand exposition.]

It's the best when it is! And of course, it's a requirement for a date at an amusement park. You just can't go back without riding it!

[jitensha]

I wouldn't dream of it!

[ ... see, she's already close to dragging him, bouncing on the soles of her feet with ill-contained excitement. ] We have to find the best one, Ryota-kun!!

[Wow she's really into this. Letting her pull him, he follows in at a more leisurely pace with a 'I'm going, I'm going'. He'll be just as picky about the horses though, don't worry.]

[jitensha]

[ between the two of them, they might take enough time for the bell to chime in preparation for the ride starting.

And Makoto comes to the abrupt realization that she's still standing in her quest for the perfect perch.

Oops. ]

[Well we can't have that.

When that bell chimes, Kise moves. His hands firm on her waist, he lifts her and plops her down on the nearest horse. Gently.]

Up you go!

[It's a nice horse, really, decorated with stars and ribbons. Maybe not with flowers or in pastels like the next one over but it was the closest one to her.

He'll be taking her collection of loot with him so that she can hold on properly too, while he hops back onto one of the smaller horses that won't be moving.]

[jitensha]

[ she actually releases the smallest of yelps when he lifts her, surprised at the suddenness of large hands tightening carefully around her waist and not being on the ground anymore, but then her fingers wrap around the brass bar and she looks over her shoulder to see him safely seated.

... And this really is a nice horse, pretty and regal. He did well, so he gets a thumbs' up. ]

[He gives her one back as he sits on his own horse, looking quite... giant. It was obviously not made for someone of his build, but he's not standing and these are the little things you do for a girl you like.]

[jitensha]

[ okay yes, so he looks a little silly on that poor horse, but you know what, having a boyfriend who will go on the carousel with you is a rare gift. It's one she can appreciate, as she hugs the pole and thinks she probably owes someone else a hug as well. ]

[He loves these things just as much as the next person, so he is a little envious of the people who got to sit on proper horses that fit them, but standing back and watching Makoto looking so excited as her skirt flutters around her ankles... It's a consolation prize he'll take.

So when the horses finally come to a stop, he'll do the same thing as before-- lift her up by her waist. Setting her down, he gives her back her bag.]

How was your horse, Princess?

[jitensha]

[ at least she's expecting it this time, so no embarrassing noises of shock. She just smiles and it's probably the ridiculous kind of radiance that swoons camera ladies. She also gives her horse a fond pat with her free hand. ]

A true noble steed!

[ex_doubly406]

[THAT SMILE THOUGH... It's on par with his wow. He's frozen for a moment, but he shakes himself out of it.]

I chose well, didn't I? I knew it'd fit you!

[Holding onto Ryota #2-- honestly it really might be too big for her-- he looks around before asking for her hand again by holding his out.]

But it finally got dark enough, so let's go to one more place!

[jitensha]

[ he doesn't even have to ask. She's still in the middle of bliss and contentment, pleased by the compliment, and there's no embarrassed trembling when she slips her hand into his and brushes their fingers together. ]
