Model Idol Combi: there's always that first date

[ Makoto had heard it on the highest authority (Miki) that girls should always be fashionably late to their dates. It left the guy 'frothing with desire', or something like that. And she'd dwelt on it, she really had, even as she sifted through her closet for the sixth time.

Makoto has always been Makoto, though, and that meant she didn't feel right purposely taking her time. It's why she's waiting near the entrance-- has been waiting for ten minutes with the long black skirt and the white shirt with the artfully placed frills and the red heels that click so cutely when she walks. It's a far cry from the jeans and sweatshirts she usually runs around in.

But she'd like to think it's not bad. ]

[ ... her boyfriend is so cool. She'll just keep quiet, and hold her breath-- not that she needs to, but she can't help it. ]

He steps back again, taking his time with this one. He's fairly sure he's got this, but a wrong flick of the wrist would mean no bear for Makoto. And with everything that hasn't been going right on this date, he'd like to make sure that at least this one thing is the one that goes perfectly.

[ hey, nothing's caught on fire and no one's been late and there have been no injuries, so it hasn't been that bad. Kise could probably use this victory, though, if just for his own sake. ]

But instead of cheering right away, he actually breathes a sigh of relief. He'd been working himself up to a worry for a moment.

He lets all of that wash away with a breath, turning to give Makoto a thumbs up.]

How was that?! I didn't miss a single one!

[ and she is... sparkling, in a way that finally doesn't attract girls in flocks. Maybe it's the skirt. ]

That was amazing! You were so cool, Ryota-kun!!

[He's no stranger to girls fawning over him whenever he shows off, but this is pretty nice. In a different way; the same way she looks different in a skirt and blouse.]

I could tell! You were entirely focused, weren't you?

Well I didn't want to miss, or I wouldn't be able to get you what you wanted!

[Which reminds him, he should be taking that bear huh.]

I would have been happy that you tried so hard, anyway.

[ but the bear is a very nice bonus and look at how bright her eyes are getting because that bear looks SO FLUFFY.... ]

[Oh man, that's really cute; she's like radiating happiness.] That wouldn't have been enough for me in this case. You deserve more than that.

[So he's happy to hand that bear to her. Of course not before]

But it kind of looks like me, doesn't it? [Look at him doing a model pose with it. Kise stop, you're gonna attract the fangirls.] So think of it as me please, and take good care of it!

[ sure enough, there are some side-glances from a few girls passing by with dates of their own, but no one's jumped him yet. Makoto's smile only becomes more effervescent, if that's even possible, and when she accepts the bear, she holds it close to her chest with a delighted squeeze. ]

Thanks so much! I don't think you're as fluffy, but I'll take very very good care of him!

I'd like to think I'm just as cuddly if the situation calls for it! [He can't keep that act up for long, not when she's this ecstatic.] But I'm glad to hear that.

[ somehow, entertaining the thought of Kise, all muscular, long limbs and soft hair, being cuddly with her is inviting her earlier blush to make its reappearance. Clearing her throat and adjusting her hold on the bear to free up a hand, she gestures at the other stands. ]

W-what about you? Is there anything you want? I'm pretty good at these games myself!

Eh? Ah, no it's okay, I can get most of these myself and I stopped taking home prizes a long time ago.

[What was that blush for though? He didn't say anything weird...]

It doesn't feel right not to give you something to take back, though...
