Model Idol Combi: there's always that first date

[ Makoto had heard it on the highest authority (Miki) that girls should always be fashionably late to their dates. It left the guy 'frothing with desire', or something like that. And she'd dwelt on it, she really had, even as she sifted through her closet for the sixth time.

Makoto has always been Makoto, though, and that meant she didn't feel right purposely taking her time. It's why she's waiting near the entrance-- has been waiting for ten minutes with the long black skirt and the white shirt with the artfully placed frills and the red heels that click so cutely when she walks. It's a far cry from the jeans and sweatshirts she usually runs around in.

But she'd like to think it's not bad. ]

Well, it doesn't have to be... I'm just bad at sitting still.

Um, then are you afraid of fish?

[jitensha]

Fish...? No.

[Yes, ignore that that was such an out of place question to ask.]

So the aquarium should be no problem, right?

-- We can go see the dolphins??

Yep, and the seals and penguins and everything else!

[jitensha]

I definitely want to go!

Then it's decided! The next date will be at the aquarium!

[And what good timing too; the bus is here.]

[ she's quick to signal it, JUST IN CASE. And it stops, allowing her to step forward and reach for his hand.

... As best as she can with it being dwarfed in a jacket sleeve. ]

Then I guess we'd better end this one first.

[It's easy to say that he doesn't want to, tacking on something cheesy at the end about how he doesn't want this to ever end.

But he takes her hand-- or sleeve-- instead, moving so that he can be beside her.]

And it was a lot of fun too. But, the next one will be even better.

[ oh, she likes the sound of that. Her smile softens, and she lightly tugs, towing him after her onto the bus. ]

The next time, I'll bring a few extra hats!

[Oh. That's right, they never did go back for that hat, and he groans inwardly when he remembers. He needs to buy a replacement tomorrow before apologizing profusely to his stylist.

... That's tomorrow though. Right now he's still with Makoto, so he can keep that smile up as he steps onto the bus.]

I wasn't prepared at all for today, though! [ she's not at all embarrassed to admit this. ] I was actually pretty nervous, but I'll be ready for the next time!

Hmmm, I thought you did pretty well for a first timer.

[Yes, despite all that awkwardness at the beginning, the crying, the pointless arguing, he had fun.]

... I didn't want to ruin your expectations so soon.

Huh? But I didn't have any expectations.

[jitensha]

Eh?

... Seriously, none?

[ex_doubly406]

Not really. [Kise this isn't the time to be blunt.] You already told me you never went on a date before, so all I was expecting was to try my best to make this a good first date.

[jitensha]

Well, yeah, the thing with the producer didn't count, but... then I asked everybody for nothing?

He's like a brother... it's still my first time going on an actual date.

[ it's okay Kise there were no ferris wheels. ]

[No this is never okay!!! Man, can't wait to see his reaction when he finds out he wasn't her first kiss either.]
