Model Idol Combi: there's always that first date

[ Makoto had heard it on the highest authority (Miki) that girls should always be fashionably late to their dates. It left the guy 'frothing with desire', or something like that. And she'd dwelt on it, she really had, even as she sifted through her closet for the sixth time.

Makoto has always been Makoto, though, and that meant she didn't feel right purposely taking her time. It's why she's waiting near the entrance-- has been waiting for ten minutes with the long black skirt and the white shirt with the artfully placed frills and the red heels that click so cutely when she walks. It's a far cry from the jeans and sweatshirts she usually runs around in.

But she'd like to think it's not bad. ]

[ apologetic and chagrined as she is, her expression's one of puzzlement. ]

I don't want to go home.

[Wait what? He freezes in the middle of his dramatic pleading.]

Eh? You don't?

I might have just... messed that up really badly, but it's been a lot of fun so far! And getting scared isn't enough to make me not want to be with you.

I'm the one who messed up...

[But this is really just like her, so he says it as if he's amused.

And he kind of is.]

But if you're sure, then I'll just have to show you an even better time than I had planned.

[jitensha]

That's--

[ ... she stops, lifting her eyes to his face. Telling him not to push himself might make it sound like she doesn't consider this important. ]

Then I'll be doing my best, too!

No no, you don't need to do anything.

[He springs up from his seat, gesturing grandly as he gives her a sweeping bow; how you might imagine a prince would do it if princes had dates in amusement parks and made girls cry at haunted houses.]

All you need to do is choose the place and enjoy yourself, Princess!

[You just told her not to-- oh well.]

[jitensha]

[ ... Oh. He really does look like a prince. Don't blush, Makoto. ]

... The coaster, then?

Okay okay, to the roller coaster we go!

[And he's holding his hand out for her to take.]

[jitensha]

[ and she's reaching out this time without any sort of hesitation or frazzlement, tightening her grip just enough to get herself to her feet. ]

There! You look a lot happier now.

Isn't that my line?

[Mistaking that for a comforting gesture, Kise squeezes her hand just a little.]

If--

[And he's about to suggest she stop by for a touch up if she needs it... then he remembers this is Makoto.]

[jitensha]

...? If?

[Cough cough.]

If you needed a handkerchief or something, that's what I was going to say!

[jitensha]

Can we just pretend I didn't cry?

... I like it better when you're honest, though.

'Sides, a girl's tears are not to be ignored!

[jitensha]

[ it's not like Makoto is even capable of lying (except to her dad sort of and that was for idol things so it was okay). At the comment, she cracks an embarrassed smile and rubs at her eyes with her free hand. ]

You really are pretty princely today!

[Well yes, but let's not go through a recap of the long 'let's pretend this never happened' episode.]

Is it working?

[Though he really wishes he had a handkerchief now.]

[jitensha]

Maybe!

[ and she breaks into a trot, tugging him along.

Yeah, she can tease. ]

[There we go. He lets her lead him there, though he could always take a few big steps to catch up to her. He's happy enough that it seemed to have worked and that she doesn't want to go home despite that terrible disaster.]

[jitensha]

[ it would take the park burning to the ground to get Makoto to willingly abandon ship, and even then, it wouldn't be without a fight. It's their first date, after all, and as... much as things went horribly during the haunted house, she's not going to give up.

And when they're standing in front of the massively towering coaster, it's like she's forgotten the trauma already. ]

Amazing...!

[As always, he's thankful for that part of her. However right now he's busy ogling at the coaster with Makoto.]

It's taller than it looked! Hey, we'll sit at the front, right?

[jitensha]

We have to! And throw our hands up!!

[ex_doubly406]

That's the right idea! [Ehehe, so excited.] Let's go line up!

[jitensha]

Roger!! [ and there she goes, pulling him along again. No one can say Makoto doesn't have incredible resilience. ]

[ex_doubly406]

[Resilient is right, she bounces back fast, and Kise can respect her for not having a sobbing fit.

So once again he lets himself be dragged along, not forgetting the customary 'after you's and all that.

They're probably going to be incredibly embarrassing and giddy once they're on.]
