Model Idol Combi: Hair

[ it's rare that she can garner enough time away from a packed schedule and her own school hours to drop by Kaijou, but even if it's just a practice match, Makoto likes to faithfully attend what she can. She's always liked basketball, so growing closer to Kise had only made that fondness stronger. It's fun to watch them get into the game, and it's fun to lose herself cheering for them.

But it's warmer today than it's been all week, and with the hat crammed over her head to hide her identity (she so optimistically felt), it was doing little to cool her head off. Strands were starting to stick to her neck.

... In a sense, it's a happy realization, that her hair was growing longer by the day, but for now, it was a little bit troubling. Still, she waits until the court's cleared out, enough of Kise's squealing crowd dissipating to allow her to sweep her hat off and try to salvage her hair.

It's a shame she can't see what she's doing. ]

[ ... says the one who's responding with equal enthusiasm and perhaps more innocence than one might expect at this point. ]

Ah wait, maybe I should freshen my breath first.

Isn't it manly to eat a healthy amount?

[ she would know, Dad's been drilling this into her since she was a wee tot. ]

[He thinks on this. Because man, he takes forever eating so he doesn't eat too much; because a) he doesn't take a lot in one bite and b) he talks way too much while eating. Just like now.]

[ after a thoughtful pause, she moves to get out of her seat, only to sidle over to his side of the booth and slide in beside him. ]

One more bite, at least. Keeping your energy up is important!

[Oh Makoto what have you done.

As soon as she sits down, he leans over to give her a kiss. So it tastes of okonomiyaki yeah, but his manliness is on the line here. At least it's good okonomiyaki.

Breaking away, he gives her his million dollar smile.]

I spent a lot of energy on that, so please!

[Opening his mouth again in a classic 'feed me' pose. KISE......]

[ ... it takes her a few seconds to do more than blink, a little dazedly. And for a minute, there's a certain bright-eyed expression, a clear please do that again-- but she manages to refrain. ]

Did you give it to me? I feel pretty energized now!

[ and here, Kise, have your okonomiyaki as a reward. ]

[He recognizes that look, and he's tempted to go for just one more if it means he can see it again...

But they're in a public place, even if it's a private booth, so he has to settle down. Oh man, the world is cruel sometimes.]

I was in the middle of defending my manliness so I'll take your word for it.

[It's a little more awkward now that they're so close, but he still insists on feeding on her gosh Kise.]

You mean it? Senpai's always telling me that I'm being too air-headed, and even I have to admit that he's got a really cool manly aura. But if you think so, then I'm happy about it!

It's true that Kasamatsu-san's really cool... and he frowns a lot more than you do.

But! [ she holds a finger up emphatically. ] There's no one else who gets my heart going or makes me safer besides you!

[HIS HEART... Makoto, you're going to kill him at this rate.

He slumps into himself a little, food forgotten, and lets out a sigh as he thinks about his face burning up. Aaaah geez, he was going to sweep her off her feet, and it ended up with him being swept off his feet. She's seriously too cute!

Turning to her a bit sheepishly, he starts talking in a low voice.]

Hey, Makocchi... Can I kiss you?

[jitensha]

Eh--

[ usually, he catches her by surprise, and while she blinks slowly at him with wide eyes, that's more because he's asking. It's a little more anxiety-inducing, but even as her face starts flushing pink, she keeps her eyes on his and nods. ]

You don't have to ask, Ryota-kun...

[A smile.] I thought I should.

[He won't lie, it's fun to catch her off-guard, with that little surprised noise she always makes catching in her throat. But right now, he really just wants her focus on him from the start.

He cups her face with one hand, bringing her a little closer as he leans down to plant a soft kiss on her lips.

Hopefully no one will walk by while this happens. It'll just ruin the mood.]

[ she'd considered it before, wondered if there'd ever be a time when her heart didn't accelerate when he leaned in, or suddenly caught a kiss. But Makoto's coming to understand that time isn't going to remedy this. If anything, time's only made him more endearing, made her a little bolder when it came to being affectionate.

And miraculously, the kiss isn't disrupted by teammates or friends or fangirls. Not that she'd notice, when her attention's condensed to the person in front of her, and when he kisses her so carefully, there's no way she can stop herself from tipping her chin up and kissing him back. Just as softly, though odds are he can feel her smile. ]

[He's come to realize that she likes giving back as soon as he's done giving. He doesn't think he minds; after all, it means he gets one more. But given how he doesn't like hanging on to favours, it just ends up with him going at it again, the corners of his lips turning up just like hers.

Guys, you're gonna end up making out in a restaurant stop it.]

[ Makoto's a firm believer of "give as good as you get", and Kise may just set the bar pretty high. But she doesn't really dwell on that, nor does she remember where they are until she realizes she's definitely kissed him more than once and her fingers are clutching at his shoulders for an instinctive balance--
