Model Idol Combi: Hair

[ it's rare that she can garner enough time away from a packed schedule and her own school hours to drop by Kaijou, but even if it's just a practice match, Makoto likes to faithfully attend what she can. She's always liked basketball, so growing closer to Kise had only made that fondness stronger. It's fun to watch them get into the game, and it's fun to lose herself cheering for them.

But it's warmer today than it's been all week, and with the hat crammed over her head to hide her identity (she so optimistically felt), it was doing little to cool her head off. Strands were starting to stick to her neck.

... In a sense, it's a happy realization, that her hair was growing longer by the day, but for now, it was a little bit troubling. Still, she waits until the court's cleared out, enough of Kise's squealing crowd dissipating to allow her to sweep her hat off and try to salvage her hair.

It's a shame she can't see what she's doing. ]

[ Makoto may not be as good as Takane when it comes to sensing someone else's proximity, no matter how well hidden, but she's at least skilled enough to be able to notice someone ducking behind some plants.

And there's no one like that when she checks, so she sighs and lowers her head to rest it on Kise's shoulder once they've both resettled. ]

I think we're safe...

[He's still keeping one eye outside, and at this point he's just being silly.]

[No Makoto, you're supposed to hit him and tell him to stop being stupid!]

That's a good idea! [He doesn't need any more prompting before he pops her hat onto his head, setting it low now that his hair's dried.] You can hardly recognize me if I do this.

[ she's his girlfriend, not his senpai. ]

It's perfect! I don't think anyone'll realize unless they look really closely.

Right? I guess I'm pretty good when it comes to disguises.

[No he isn't.]

As expected of a model! You could probably pull off anything.

[ that's completely different, Makoto!! ]

Hmm, if I have the right stylist and lighting I could... But if it's just a hat, then I can go all natural!

[jitensha]

[ she grins, reaching out to nudge the brim of his cap a little lower. ]

I like the all natural you the best, anyway!

[He taps the brim back up to a more manageable level, laughing.]

I really like all natural Makocchi too!

Then let's stay ourselves!

... Even in disguise!

[Staying themselves even in disguise doesn't make much sense, but he's not about to object.]

Alright, then it's a promise!

Dessert's still a promise too, right?

Eh? Didn't we already decide on that? Strawberry ice cream, right?

[AS IF HE'D DENY HER THAT.]

Not officially, but definitely! It's a good day for ice cream, too.

[ she'd only come to cheer him on, which she wasn't always able to accomplish when her job kept her busy, but she hadn't expected a new hair style and an impromptu date out of it.

She also didn't mind any of it. ]

That's all? I thought it was something serious... Then we are officially going for dessert.

[BECAUSE THEY'RE TOTALLY DONE EATING RIGHT.

If they weren't, they totally burnt all the okonomiyaki while they were busy kissing. Either way, he'll hold his hand out for her to take. It's ice cream tiiiime.]

That is serious... [ and she mutters it a tad sullenly, even as it fades within seconds when she slips her hand into his. There's probably a moment of silence for the poor pancake they left sizzling while Kise was trying to tip her out of the booth, but they'd done well! She's sure of it! ]

[They... Well...

He takes a look at the pancakes that are basically half-eaten. He's not really that hungry anymore... It's a bit of a waste but he's the one paying anyway. He shrugs, about to lead her out so that he can pay.]

Only if you wanted to cancel. I would've gone back home crying.

[jitensha]

Eeeh?!

[ indoor voice, Makoto. But she looks truly stricken at this possibility. ] I'd never make you cry!

[Wow that was loud.]

No, I think that's already pretty obvious. [Says the guy who made her cry.] You've been really busy lately though, I was surprised you dropped by today!

[jitensha]

Huh? Oh, I... [ she reaches up to tap her chin with a finger, thoughtfully. ] I actually had a shoot today, but since it was being done by the same company who did a short one yesterday, I just asked if they had any room to fit in both shoots in one day! I'm booked solid for the rest of the week, though... eheheh!

[ she probably shouldn't say that so brightly. ]

... So we won't be able to meet up for a while. [It's his turn to think on this. Not that he doesn't also have a shoot the day after, and probably had a couple more lined up next week along with practice, but dates have been getting pretty rare.

That was good though, right? At the end of the day, they were both busy. He turns to her with a bright smile.]

Okay, Makocchi, let's finish this date off with a bang! The memories have to last us for a week!

[jitensha]

Right... but that doesn't mean we won't be able to talk. [ via short texts in between jobs and classes and maybe a phone call once she got home and could peacefully flop on her bed.

So maybe they don't go out on dates as frequently as other couples, but they made do, and it was a comfortable arrangement. It made their meet-ups in person even more memorable, anyway. ]

But for today, I'll definitely make sure that I'm in your mind for at least a week! Maybe even two!

It's completely different when you're face-to-face! You don't know how many times I called Kurokocchi because I was so lonely! [SULKING sort of. No he isn't because he's giving her That Look.] You have so little faith in me though, that hurts! If I need to, I can think on you for at least a year!

[jitensha]

[ on the way to the front to pay, her footsteps slow. While it's impressive that he could have someone on his mind for that long, that would mean she wouldn't see him for a year. And that...

She moves her other hand, using it to pluck lightly at his sleeve as she bites her lip. ]

I don't want that.

[ if that ever happened, she'd endure it, but it's a painful thought regardless. ]
