Model Idol Combi: Hair

[ it's rare that she can garner enough time away from a packed schedule and her own school hours to drop by Kaijou, but even if it's just a practice match, Makoto likes to faithfully attend what she can. She's always liked basketball, so growing closer to Kise had only made that fondness stronger. It's fun to watch them get into the game, and it's fun to lose herself cheering for them.

But it's warmer today than it's been all week, and with the hat crammed over her head to hide her identity (she so optimistically felt), it was doing little to cool her head off. Strands were starting to stick to her neck.

... In a sense, it's a happy realization, that her hair was growing longer by the day, but for now, it was a little bit troubling. Still, she waits until the court's cleared out, enough of Kise's squealing crowd dissipating to allow her to sweep her hat off and try to salvage her hair.

It's a shame she can't see what she's doing. ]

But it doesn't feel all that different from usual since he's already sweating, adrenaline pumping after the match. They'd ended up winning by a close margin, and he's still grinning a little into his towel. Maybe it was stupid, but basketball really is a lot of fun, isn't it...?

There's something else that requires his attention today though. Chugging down his water, he gives a wave to a certain someone he's noticed was in the crowd since half-time. It was really nice of her to drop by when he knows she's pretty busy too--

... What's she doing? Some kind of salute? No, she's trying to do something with her hair but...

Towel resting against his neck, he makes a beeline for Makoto, trying his best to pass by his remaining fans without making a fuss.]

Oh-- [ the word escapes before she can prevent it, hand frozen in her hair and expression laughably guilty, like she's expecting to be yelled at for her efforts. But let it be said that Makoto doesn't try to smile it off, offering a grin when a wave wouldn't have sufficed (not at this point). ]

That was a really great match!

Thanks for coming to cheer me on! I really got pumped up when I spotted you. [He just smiles since he's pretty sure she doesn't want to get too close to a sweaty guy. Leaning down, he settles into a half-squat despite his protesting leg.] So, were you trying to show off a new hairstyle for me?

[ she wouldn't mind, but she's also Makoto. At his comment, though, she turns pink and hastily waves her free hand about. ]

N-no, I was-- just trying to find a way to gather it out of the way! That's all!

Eeeeh, that's disappointing...

[He straightens up, pouting. Also because his leg is starting to hurt.] Here I was hoping to see Makocchi all dressed up and she wasn't going to do anything special for me at all! I guess I'll just go take a shower then.

[ and she's lowering her gaze to stare at the floor. She'd meant to cheer him up, not disappoint him... ]

But I didn't want to distract anyone from your game, so I had to come in disguise.

[ don't pout so convincingly and she wouldn't fall for half the stunts you pull! It's evident enough she's startled when he suddenly nudges her chin up, but the smile's ultimately reassuring and the kicked puppy look slowly fades.

... Even if the subject matter's a little... ]

You don't have to do anything-- ah, but I'll wait! Go ahead and take your shower, Ryota-kun!

[He's a model it's what he does. But yes, he gives her a wave before disappearing into the locker room where senpai is already waiting to kick him.

It's fine, I dried it once through and I don't have anywhere to go today. [Yes he'll direct her to one of the bleachers, indicating that she should sit beside him.] 'Sides, I couldn't make Makocchi wait!

I wouldn't have minded... [ as she lets him steer her, plopping herself down on the bench next to him. ]

It's a crime to make a girl wait, don't you know? You might not mind but I wouldn't have forgiven myself.

[And watch in amazement as he pulls out item after item from his bag like he's some kind of magical beauty Santa bringing Christmas early. Comb, hair clips, hair wax, straightener, mirror, hair spray... This girl guy...]

[ Makoto is definitely in awe, half-wondering how he can stow so much in his bag, and half-amazed that he has this much stuff. It's like the dressing room right before a performance. ]

You're amazing...! Do you usually carry this around?

[Wow he's so proud to be able to show off his vast collection of beauty products.]

These ones are only when I have practice [gesturing to the straightener, hair wax, and hair spray] but the other ones I have on me all the time.

[jitensha]

[ ... he carries around hair clips all the time.

Somehow, this only makes him even better. ]

As expected of a model! You're prepared for anything!

[Oh Makoto, how does that make him better. Is he going to be the best if he pulls out his lip balm and cologne???]

'Course, I take my job seriously! And you never know what might come up!

[And picking up the comb:] Anyway, let me brush out your hair first.

[ QUITE POSSIBLY.

But she scoots a little on the bench, putting her back to him and clutching her hat in her lap. She doubts this will work, but-- ] Are you sure you want to do it? I can do that much.

But if you do it, it's no fun for me. I always wanted to brush through your hair anyway.

[NO SHAME AT ALL WITH THAT LINE.

Luckily her hair's short enough that he can get the job done without a proper brush. Though her hair's thicker than he thought it'd be, he very gently brushes through it while humming. No rush at all.]

E-eh-- wait, always??

[ and she'd look over her shoulder, but he's already combing through her hair, and she has no wish to get her hair yanked. It feels nice, anyway. ]

[A nod, not that she'd see it properly.] It looked like it'd be nice if it was longer. Good thing it is now!
