/posts something dorky and harmless
[ This is an apartment. It's a fairly small apartment- even for someone on Jacob's salary, but it suits him. Every thing is practical and neat- if a little dark. Dear Jake has a fondness for dark wood when it comes to furniture- and perfect.
Except for the part where there's a 200-pound wolf sprawled on the bed like he owns it. The fedora is hanging from one of the bedposts, for want of a proper hat rack.
Jacob himself is in the shower, pondering how the hell his life got so complicated all of a sudden. ]

Stealthily.
Like so.]

Hey you.
[And, she'll just be tossing that paperwork onto the counter, and descend into that nonsense talk people say to dogs all the time. Come here and be petted! 8D]

[ Also, that might be the sound of the shower shutting off ]

He'll be tying that around his waist as he exits the bathroom. Huh, there should be an epic ton of wolf in that bed. ] Fedora?
no subject
... Shit.
[Is there a closet in this kitchen? If there is, she'll just be... trying to duck in there, shooing Fedora out.]
Go... distract him or something. Shoo.

Jake, in the meantime, has picked up his gun, and will be creeping to the kitchen. Not that he doubts Fedora's ability to take down anyone dumb enough to try and break in, but you know. ]

And hold her breath.
Oh yeah. She's the stealth.]

Fedora, what are you doing in the-- [ why is my pantry door open slightly? ]

Jesus Christ-! Kara, for the love of God, what are you doing in my pantry?!

She holds up one of the cans, and deadpans:]
I wanted peas.

[Hauls herself out like absolutely nothing happened--thank you SO MUCH for the hand.]

[Picking dry pasta off her pants.] Nice voice, Nigel.

I was hoping to catch your fine, scrawny ass in the shower.

... Look, since you're here, I had something I wanted to ask your opinion on anyway. Just... give me a moment to get dressed.
no subject
Hurry up before you blind someone.

[ As for the apartment, there's the obvious- newspaper on the table, a few bills. And then, oddly, framed photgraphs. An old house on rolling green hills. A smiling elderly couple with a smiling Jacob in front of the same house. A photo of a grinning woman- Jacob's mother, they have the same eyes- playfully mussing a teenaged Jacob's hair. A few more photos of the same nature are scattered around.
Perhaps he never has time for friends, but family is obviously very, very important. His father, however, is conspicuously absent. ]

Bills are interesting. Newspaper's boring. The photos... curious. She never pegged him for a sentimental guy. House is nice. Not in the city. Maybe Dad's dead... maybe he's a bastard.
Cool.
She then flops on the couch, propping her feet up
daintilyon an arm, to wait.]no subject
[ And Jake emerges a few moments later on a pair of sweatpants and a t-shirt- casual clothes, he owns them! He also has a box tucked under one arm ]
