Model Idol Combi: so you had a sick day
[ so the thing was, Makoto didn't get sick. It took a series of unfortunate events, a moment of stress-induced weakness, and doing the idiotically chivalrous thing of trying to make her way home in the pouring rain and likely spending too much time in soaked clothing, despite Kise's best efforts.
But the point was, Makoto didn't usually get sick, and when she did get sick, it had to be sick enough to buckle her knees and keep her under her covers with a fever that could warm cold palms in an instant. She'd tried to go to work, but hadn't made it further than her own doorway before she'd gotten too dizzy to stand without the aid of the frame and had been promptly ushered back to bed.
And of course, she hadn't wanted to worry Kise, but that had backfired and for some inexplicable reason, she felt worse than ever. She'd have to change the compress again, she thinks distantly, as she tries to push herself up on her elbows to give him a properly chastising look. At the very least, her parents were now out for one of her dad's races, but... ]
You... really didn't have to come.
[ what if she's contagious? It's bad enough that she feels awful and she's sweaty and her hair's a mess and her face is all red and this isn't very romantic at all-- ]

You... really didn't have to come.

S'too hot.
[ THANKS FOR THAT. ]
no subject
Oh.
That's still really cute. Don't mind him laughing, because he can't stop that bit of relief rising up. Look, at least he's fanning her too.]
no subject
What's so funny...?
no subject
[Kise...]
no subject
I'm not-- [ okay, yes she is, but getting adamant about it isn't helping her cough to stop, so she can't protest all that wholeheartedly. ]
no subject
[He sounds much less concerned now, of course.]
no subject
... is.
With an almost defiant cough that might have been an attempt at a word. ]
no subject
Which only serves to remind him that her face is unbelievable hot (not in that way) but he can forgive her for that because she's still cute.]
no subject
But she's not even thinking about that, because this is not only uncomfortable, but it's making her cough resurface right after she squeaks a little in dismay.
KISE... ]
no subject
He lets go pretty quickly, letting her settle down before speaking.]
That cough's really ruining the mood for us. [What mood. Kise that's just you.] Hey Makocchi, make sure you get better soon; I can't even kiss you like this.
no subject
[ which is entirely his fault, because even now, she'd like to, but that's just asking for him to catch her fever. ]
no subject
Right? It's so sad! If Ryota #1 or 2 were here I could ask them to do it for me.
no subject
T-that's completely different--!
no subject
[Guess who's letting the no talking rule slide. Again. He feels bad for the bears okay.]
They're cute like me, and fluffy too!
no subject
[ snuggling with one of them would be nice, but there's no way she could... there's a surge of sadness that she quickly suppresses. She feels bad for the bears too okay!! ]
no subject
But I'm here, so you can at least look at me and pretend!
no subject
[ SHE LOOKS SO SAD. ]
no subject
[No don't pull that face on him; it's not that he doesn't want to! Not entirely. But she's been shaking or trembling for a good while whenever he holds her.
She felt breakable.]
No no, I'm okay with it!
[But he doesn't move to hug her either.]
no subject
[ because she's back to normal in her imagination, and she can hug him and snuggle against his chest and not have to worry about shivering or coughing--
Her smile's just not the most convincing. ]
no subject
Well he can't let her go like that.]
Hold still.
[And brushing away the bangs sticking to her forehead, even dabbing away some of the sweat, he leans in to leave a kiss.]
This makes up for it, right?
no subject
But there's her smile. ]
Ehehehe. [ a smaller cough this time. ] You're really kind... Ryouta-kun. Thanks.
no subject
So that, being told that he's really kind... It means something.
Of course it also means he's turning red himself.]
Makocchi, that wasn't...
no subject
1/2
You weren't even listening to me...
[Ahaha...]
no subject
Makocchi, when you said that I'm--
[She's probably already dozing by this time.]
