Model Idol Combi: so you had a sick day
[ so the thing was, Makoto didn't get sick. It took a series of unfortunate events, a moment of stress-induced weakness, and doing the idiotically chivalrous thing of trying to make her way home in the pouring rain and likely spending too much time in soaked clothing, despite Kise's best efforts.
But the point was, Makoto didn't usually get sick, and when she did get sick, it had to be sick enough to buckle her knees and keep her under her covers with a fever that could warm cold palms in an instant. She'd tried to go to work, but hadn't made it further than her own doorway before she'd gotten too dizzy to stand without the aid of the frame and had been promptly ushered back to bed.
And of course, she hadn't wanted to worry Kise, but that had backfired and for some inexplicable reason, she felt worse than ever. She'd have to change the compress again, she thinks distantly, as she tries to push herself up on her elbows to give him a properly chastising look. At the very least, her parents were now out for one of her dad's races, but... ]
You... really didn't have to come.
[ what if she's contagious? It's bad enough that she feels awful and she's sweaty and her hair's a mess and her face is all red and this isn't very romantic at all-- ]

Ah, no it'd be weird if I got wrinkles at this age...

Isn't that obvious though? Of course I'd worry about you, Makocchi!

[ and breaking off with the smallest of noises because this headache is not the most pleasant thing right now. ]
... r-really don't want that, though--
no subject
Unfortunately what she said is taking greater precedence, so he freezes in the middle of opening the cap for her.]
Ah... you don't want that?
[But doesn't that mean...? Is that... what he thinks it is?]
no subject
I feel really bad.
[ a pause. ]
Because I'm the one who messed up, so it's my fault you're worrying so much.
no subject
[Ah, what now? She messed up? What? When? How? Huh? Huh??]
--Eeeeh??? But Makocchi, it's not like you went around trying to get a cold-- [Oh wait, she went around without an umbrella um] Ah, never mind, but it's not like you went around wanting to get a cold!
no subject
[ "was an idiot and messed up royally by not bothering to bring an extra umbrella and staying in wet clothes too long and then I caught this really bad cold and you're wasting time you could be spending on the court and you might even get wrinkles before thirty" doesn't quite get out coherently. It's a lot of really hoarse mumbling into her knees. ]
no subject
Ah, Makocchi I can't understand what you're saying...

[Maybe he wants to hear her feverish self-deprecation! She usually caves anyway.]

Makocchiiii, you can't start in like that and stop. Ah, unless your throat's not up to it, then you can tell me later. Either way you can't leave me hanging!

Could this be serious?]
... Is something wrong? I was just joking about the wrinkles.

Do you have a stomachache? Is the headache bad?
[Because he's still holding the aspirin oops.]

And then there's an awkward silence where he tries to figure out what he did wrong.]
no subject
She never really mastered Being Taken Care Of 101.
But she does take the aspirin without a fuss and stays just as awkwardly silent. ]
no subject
I was really kidding about the wrinkles...
no subject
[ Makoto, stop. ]

My manager tells me that the only way I could ruin my career is by not showing up to enough shoots! So if anything happens it won't be your fault!
no subject
[ really, of all the things to stick with her, it's the thing he admitted to joking about. Her thought process isn't the best at the moment. ]
no subject
Why wrinkles? I mean, I guess I'll try my best to cover it up...
