Model Idol Combi: so you had a sick day
[ so the thing was, Makoto didn't get sick. It took a series of unfortunate events, a moment of stress-induced weakness, and doing the idiotically chivalrous thing of trying to make her way home in the pouring rain and likely spending too much time in soaked clothing, despite Kise's best efforts.
But the point was, Makoto didn't usually get sick, and when she did get sick, it had to be sick enough to buckle her knees and keep her under her covers with a fever that could warm cold palms in an instant. She'd tried to go to work, but hadn't made it further than her own doorway before she'd gotten too dizzy to stand without the aid of the frame and had been promptly ushered back to bed.
And of course, she hadn't wanted to worry Kise, but that had backfired and for some inexplicable reason, she felt worse than ever. She'd have to change the compress again, she thinks distantly, as she tries to push herself up on her elbows to give him a properly chastising look. At the very least, her parents were now out for one of her dad's races, but... ]
You... really didn't have to come.
[ what if she's contagious? It's bad enough that she feels awful and she's sweaty and her hair's a mess and her face is all red and this isn't very romantic at all-- ]

Okay, she obviously still needs it. It's not that apparent, but she's still trembling until she finishes her drink and lets herself lean back fully against his arm. ]
... Thanks.

[Kise now is not the time for that. But he's careful about letting her down, making sure she's tucked in all the way up to her chin.]
Do you need anything else?
no subject
[ because sleeping isn't curing her headache, and she's less than enthused about her current state of healthiness. One thing at a time. ]
no subject
[And off he goes, as energetic as ever. If she wants aspirin then she'll get aspirin!]

no subject
And that's exactly how he finds her when he comes back, the aspirin in his hand forgotten in favour of rushing over to help her up.]
Hey Makocchi, didn't I say you should call me for stuff like this?
no subject
[ says the person breathing way too hard. ]
no subject
[Says the person who can be just as bad. Or proportionately dumb.]
no subject
[ yep, she admits it. ]

no subject
[ well. "Bad" for Makoto is like "being on the verge of death". ]
no subject
Ah, no it'd be weird if I got wrinkles at this age...

no subject
Isn't that obvious though? Of course I'd worry about you, Makocchi!
no subject
[ and breaking off with the smallest of noises because this headache is not the most pleasant thing right now. ]
... r-really don't want that, though--
no subject
Unfortunately what she said is taking greater precedence, so he freezes in the middle of opening the cap for her.]
Ah... you don't want that?
[But doesn't that mean...? Is that... what he thinks it is?]
no subject
I feel really bad.
[ a pause. ]
Because I'm the one who messed up, so it's my fault you're worrying so much.
no subject
[Ah, what now? She messed up? What? When? How? Huh? Huh??]
--Eeeeh??? But Makocchi, it's not like you went around trying to get a cold-- [Oh wait, she went around without an umbrella um] Ah, never mind, but it's not like you went around wanting to get a cold!
no subject
[ "was an idiot and messed up royally by not bothering to bring an extra umbrella and staying in wet clothes too long and then I caught this really bad cold and you're wasting time you could be spending on the court and you might even get wrinkles before thirty" doesn't quite get out coherently. It's a lot of really hoarse mumbling into her knees. ]
no subject
Ah, Makocchi I can't understand what you're saying...

no subject
[Maybe he wants to hear her feverish self-deprecation! She usually caves anyway.]

Makocchiiii, you can't start in like that and stop. Ah, unless your throat's not up to it, then you can tell me later. Either way you can't leave me hanging!
