log > how are these two so darn cute?
It had been an admittedly strange situation they had all been in - shopping mall, zombies, black outs - it was like a horror film gone wrong.
No one had any explanation for their sudden appearance in the mall, nor did anyone have an explanation for their sudden disappearance from the mall. Just as no one had an explanation for the blue Chevrolet Volt currently parked outside of B.A.B.E.L. headquarters.
For his own part, Jolt was doing what Autobots did best (aside from kicking Decepticon skidplate), and that was hiding in plain sight. Asphalt and sunshine, he decided, were preferable to zombie-laden carpet and the near-darkness of a mall without power. He just didn't like having to wait while Naomi was inside - no doubt trying to explain where the frag she'd been all this time. Jolt'd had a similar problem relaying his whereabouts to - of all mechs - Ratchet. (No doubt the medic thought he was glitched for insisting he'd been fighting off zombies all this time.) But, after much instance, and pleading for Optimus' permission, Jolt was allowed to stay with Naomi for the time being.
The Autobot sighed inwardly. He was still waiting, and he still hated it.

There was no end to The Children's joy at seeing their older friend seemingly back to normal-- and no end to Tanizaki's wailing that his precious subordinate had been abducted by the lovingly christened "devil car", complete with demands that the rule-breaker never go near her again until Naomi had very neatly settled that argument by having him psychokinetically bond with the closest wall.
When that silenced him for only five seconds before he began to babble about how he'd cried into a body pillow of her during her absence, his very frazzled and highly annoyed charge decided that enough was enough.
Hence why she was now settled outside with a guide to all of the bars in Tokyo.

"What's that?" He inquired, which perhaps was the wrong question. He knew what it was. Why she was looking at it was another matter entirely.

"Jolt-san," she said solemnly, "I would be honored if you helped me out with this." After all the verbal abuse he'd gotten from Tanizaki, Jolt had just as much right to participate as she did. Not to mention that it was always more fun as a pair.

Naomi settled in, fastening her seatbelt, and not a moment too soon-- because the doors to the building slid open, and her supervisor appeared.
And gaped.
And promptly shrieked.
"ABDUCTING HER AGAIN?!"

And with a squeal of tires, the blue Chevrolet peeled out onto the street.

The bar was easy enough to spot, and the Volt pulled up in front. As with anything, practice made perfect, and in the time he'd spent with Naomi, Jolt had improved upon the range and time in which he could use his hard-light hologram. This of course meant he had every intention of going in with her. They were in this together. As a team. And no way in hell was he going to let her go bar-hopping while he waited outside.

Still, there was no way Naomi could leave her partner behind, and having a handsome guy with her was bound to leave the ladies a little more receptive to conversation.
"Okay..." Unbuckling herself, she slid out and stretched. "Are you ready?"

The doors unlocked and swung open obligingly. This was going to be quite the little test for his holo, but he didn't want to think about that.

She gave him a brief nod, just before she entered the bar.
... And inadvertently took a step back when she realized just how crowded it was. There were candidates, sure, but going through all of them could take the whole day!

Jolt's eyebrows rose at the sight of the crowd. "Whoa," was all he managed.

Unfortunately, her quick movements had several more females glancing in her direction-- and quickly looking from her to her more attractive companion. Eyebrows rose, lips twisted in elegant and interested smirks, and whispering began.
The poor Autobot.

Oh, why were there people looking at him?

And thus Jolt was subjected to the attention of three curvaceous women, all of whom were reasonable enough not to eye him like a piece of meat.
Mostly.
"We don't get too many boys down here," one of them murmured, pausing to sip from her glass. "And a foreigner, at that. Were you looking for some company?"
no subject
"Who, me?" If he'd possessed an ounce of sense, Jolt could have very well pretended he didn't speak the language. But as it stood, the responded in perfect Japanese- being able to download and understand any language available to him was both a blessing and a curse.

It really was a good thing (for them) that Naomi had yet to notice what they were doing. She might not have taken very kindly to it.

It was one thing to pretend to be a car for the sake of escaping notice. It was another thing entirely to pretend to be a human. An apparently attractive human at that.

"You came to a bar, but not to drink. That sounds like you're looking for fun to me." The woman propped a hand on her hip, following Jolt's gaze and quirking an eyebrow. "... Unless you just came here with your girlfriend?"
