Model Idol Combi: so you had a sick day
[ so the thing was, Makoto didn't get sick. It took a series of unfortunate events, a moment of stress-induced weakness, and doing the idiotically chivalrous thing of trying to make her way home in the pouring rain and likely spending too much time in soaked clothing, despite Kise's best efforts.
But the point was, Makoto didn't usually get sick, and when she did get sick, it had to be sick enough to buckle her knees and keep her under her covers with a fever that could warm cold palms in an instant. She'd tried to go to work, but hadn't made it further than her own doorway before she'd gotten too dizzy to stand without the aid of the frame and had been promptly ushered back to bed.
And of course, she hadn't wanted to worry Kise, but that had backfired and for some inexplicable reason, she felt worse than ever. She'd have to change the compress again, she thinks distantly, as she tries to push herself up on her elbows to give him a properly chastising look. At the very least, her parents were now out for one of her dad's races, but... ]
You... really didn't have to come.
[ what if she's contagious? It's bad enough that she feels awful and she's sweaty and her hair's a mess and her face is all red and this isn't very romantic at all-- ]

But hindsight is always 20/20, and he's not up to admitting he messed up. He's not even up to agreeing that he probably can't handle the medicine.]

Well, that's okay! We'll get you to a better point anyway!

It's too hot. His throat hurts. He wants to rest. He wants her to hold his hand. His body still aches but his eyes are closing.]

And maybe tries to catch her hand but... that's not happening.]

Providing his parents don't shoo her back home. ]

He'll be glad to have her hand though. Even if he'll still feel kind of fuzzy and weird when he wakes up.]

... The poor girl.
But she's not even reflecting on
her dad'slife choices, giving his hand a warm squeeze when he opens his eyes again. Yeah, she talked his parents into letting her stay just a little longer. ]no subject
But sore throats don't heal that fast, so he still can't speak to let her know how much he appreciate this.
Time to gaze into her eyes and probably fail at getting through to her since he's having trouble focusing.]

I can't stay much longer... but I wanted to make sure you'd be okay.

The thing is, it's even harder to try to pantomime 'don't you need to go home?']
no subject
[ yeah she missed it entirely. ]

And he's going to try again. This time forcing his voice except that's not really a good idea so he ends up having to take a moment to try to calm down his throat. God, this sucks but he's not giving up yet! Dumb decision #23437 coming right up!]

He still looks pretty unhappy about it though.]

[ she'll guess!! ]

... And then he puts up two fingers because thinking about it, he wants some water too.]

You still looked pretty bad, and your parents looked tired when they got back, so I asked if I could stay to keep an eye on you for a few more hours. I'll be heading home soon, though, once they wake up.
[ here, Kise, your water. ]
no subject
No he can't. He might need some help.]

If only that was some miracle potion, because then he'd be able to jump up and talk as much as he wants with her. The best he can do now is to turn so that he can face her better.]
no subject
You might not believe me, but you look a lot better than you did! I mean, there were a few times I really wanted to call the hospital...
no subject
He'll do his utmost to look grateful however. Because she stayed all the way and even now.]
