A comic book indeed.

[ Leif Helgarson is nothing if not patient. For a thousand years he has waited for this- the day that he finally gets revenge. The day they sneak into Asgard. The day he kills Thor.

Unfortunately, that day was tomorrow, but what was one more night after a thousand years? He'd just slaughtered a whole mess of young vampires intent on invading his territory (his territory being the entire state of Arizona), and now he had the rest of the evening to kill- figuratively speaking. Just as well since something his Druid friend, Atticus, mentioned to him has his interest piqued: Atticus had said that Thor was a comic book.

Why anyone would want to make a comic book about that arrogant, self-centered--- well, why anyone would want to make a comic book about Thor was beyond him. And so the vampire spent the evening in his office at the law firm of Magnusson and Hauk in front of his laptop doing a few idle searches.

Ah. Now he understood. Complete and utter ignorance was why there was a comic book about Thor. This selfless, heroic character was the polar opposite of the real Thor. ]

You will get your comeuppance, God of Thunder. I can promise you that.

[ Not that Leif was one to talk to himself, but he figures he's allowed a little bit at this point. ]

[Loki crosses over to the desk, then curiously looks at the screen. Strangely enough it appears to be an accurate enough depiction.]

And what is this you've found?
allfatherissues: (You're labelling me a supervillain?)

[personal profile] allfatherissues 2012-04-26 06:13 am (UTC)(link)
Either way, a 'hero' and 'savior of men'? Whether or not it is accurate is a matter of opinion, and my own opinion of my brother is hardly as flattering.
allfatherissues: (Your shadow is too big.)

[personal profile] allfatherissues 2012-04-26 07:09 am (UTC)(link)
[Loki can apply those things to Thor's character, but it doesn't help that he's a little biased.]

Well, the Thor I know is prideful, brash, and ever so oblivious. I'd say that puts him in a less-than-favourable light all around.
allfatherissues: (-to screw in a lightbulb?)

[personal profile] allfatherissues 2012-04-27 06:03 am (UTC)(link)
And pray tell, what has he committed against you?
allfatherissues: (Umm I think I'm done with you.)

[personal profile] allfatherissues 2012-04-27 08:11 am (UTC)(link)
Not particularly; but you cannot say that you are not curious about my own dealings with my brother. I thought perhaps we may wish to share our respective stories.
allfatherissues: (Dem horns.)

[personal profile] allfatherissues 2012-04-28 03:45 am (UTC)(link)
Fair enough, I suppose. It would be unwise to immediately trust one who holds the title of 'Trickster', wouldn't it?

[Obliging, Loki will take a seat in that empty chair, crossing his legs and leaning an elbow on one armrest.]

Where does one begin? The list of my brother's transgressions is a long one – perhaps you'd like to hear of the most recent?
allfatherissues: (I tire of you.)

Very well.

Thor is the first born, and thus heir to the Allfather's throne. A man like that – brash, arrogant, reckless – should not inherent such a responsibility. For the good of Asgard, it would have been for the best to delay such a thing for as long as possible.

I saw to it, interrupting his big day, his coronation ceremony filled to the brim with pomp and circumstance. The blame fell upon rogue enemies of our realm, and Thor was quick to act on pride alone; he started a war with the Jotuns. Odin banished him to Midgard for his actions, of course.

[He'll skip the details of what may have happened next – some of what happened between them, after all, was quite personal.]

He claims to be a different man, even after his return. Having known him for so long, I am hesitant to believe it.

[There are other grudges he holds, as well. But, again... far too close to his heart to reveal.]

allfatherissues: (Hammers are for squares anyway.)

[personal profile] allfatherissues 2012-04-28 06:19 am (UTC)(link)
I sought to delay his ascension to the throne. Humbling him requires luck that even I do not have.

Regardless, I've shared my tale. [Yeah, like... 20 percent of it.] What of your own?
allfatherissues: (Jotunheim isn't quite winter wonderland.)

[personal profile] allfatherissues 2012-04-29 05:17 am (UTC)(link)
[That certainly doesn't sound like anything he's aware of his Thor doing, and yet for some reason it sounds just as reckless. Just as prideful. So very Thor.]

The circumstances themselves are foreign to me, and yet the personality of this Thor you describe is strangely familiar. Starting meaningless conflicts appears to be a theme.
allfatherissues: (Ostentatious? Never.)

[personal profile] allfatherissues 2012-04-30 03:51 am (UTC)(link)
[But I thought Loki was the one who does what he wants.

Loki's grin becomes a bit unnerving.]

And what do you plan to do to teach him this lesson?
allfatherissues: (I am planning all of the things.)

[personal profile] allfatherissues 2012-04-30 06:26 pm (UTC)(link)
[Loki leans forward in his seat a little, his look intrigued yet borderline sardonic.]

Oh, no, that much is obvious. Quite obvious. Rather, I meant how do you plan on killing a god? We are sturdier than most here on Midgard, as I'm sure you've noticed.

Oh? And would you be so eager as to share these tricks?

[kind of beneficial for him to know such things as well.]

Perhaps, you can understand my concern, I'm sure.
