A comic book indeed.

[ Leif Helgarson is nothing if not patient. For a thousand years he has waited for this- the day that he finally gets revenge. The day they sneak into Asgard. The day he kills Thor.

Unfortunately, that day was tomorrow, but what was one more night after a thousand years? He'd just slaughtered a whole mess of young vampires intent on invading his territory (his territory being the entire state of Arizona), and now he had the rest of the evening to kill- figuratively speaking. Just as well since something his Druid friend, Atticus, mentioned to him has his interest piqued: Atticus had said that Thor was a comic book.

Why anyone would want to make a comic book about that arrogant, self-centered--- well, why anyone would want to make a comic book about Thor was beyond him. And so the vampire spent the evening in his office at the law firm of Magnusson and Hauk in front of his laptop doing a few idle searches.

Ah. Now he understood. Complete and utter ignorance was why there was a comic book about Thor. This selfless, heroic character was the polar opposite of the real Thor. ]

You will get your comeuppance, God of Thunder. I can promise you that.

[ Not that Leif was one to talk to himself, but he figures he's allowed a little bit at this point. ]

I sought to delay his ascension to the throne. Humbling him requires luck that even I do not have.

Regardless, I've shared my tale. [Yeah, like... 20 percent of it.] What of your own?

A tale for a tale, but before we get to me, allow me to tell you the tale of my associates- Gunnar Magnusson and Hal Hauk. They run this law firm, but they are hundreds of years old themselves.

They are, in fact, werewolves, and if you care to know anything about werewolves and vampires, you should know that we do not typically get along. It is our mutual hatred of Thor that has forged this alliance.

[ He steeples his fingers, leaning forward a bit ] I do not know all of the tale, but I know this much: Thor murdered several of their pack at the behest of their former Alpha, whom Gunnar had killed, sending him, perhaps unknowingly, to Valhalla.

He struck those who were not of Norse blood down with lightning, and he did so for his own amusement, since this was a quarrel long over-- and certainly not one he had any right to be involved in.

[That certainly doesn't sound like anything he's aware of his Thor doing, and yet for some reason it sounds just as reckless. Just as prideful. So very Thor.]

The circumstances themselves are foreign to me, and yet the personality of this Thor you describe is strangely familiar. Starting meaningless conflicts appears to be a theme.

He does what he wants, with no regard for the lives he ruins in the process. He is long overdue for a lesson in consequences.

[allfatherissues]

[But I thought Loki was the one who does what he wants.

Loki's grin becomes a bit unnerving.]

And what do you plan to do to teach him this lesson?

Is it not obvious? I mentioned that there were many who wanted him dead- I am one.

[allfatherissues]

[Loki leans forward in his seat a little, his look intrigued yet borderline sardonic.]

Oh, no, that much is obvious. Quite obvious. Rather, I meant how do you plan on killing a god? We are sturdier than most here on Midgard, as I'm sure you've noticed.

Gods can be killed. You simply have to know the right tricks. [ or the right people ]

Oh? And would you be so eager as to share these tricks?

[kind of beneficial for him to know such things as well.]

Not in particular. We have already established that I do not trust you.

[allfatherissues]

Perhaps, you can understand my concern, I'm sure.

You have yet to give me a reason to want to kill you.
