[ With the festival close at hand, there's no shortage of new faces trickling (or jumping or stowing away or dashing) into Vale. And with Weiss' eagerness to size up the competition before they squared off at the tournament, Yang had seen her fair share of newcomers. Some she could appreciate more than others. Like that guy with the hair that all but screamed "RUFFLE ME" and those abs?. Yeeees. Did it matter which kingdom he hailed from, how he fought? Not really.

It's just a shame that she can't really admire him or chat him up when one of Professor Port's monsters for some sort of demonstration breaks free and goes charging towards the docks.

It's total instinct that has Yang racing towards the beast, instead of away, and she hums a pleased note of satisfaction when her fist connects with its head and sends it flying with a very baffled and agonized roar. Wreathed in flames, of course. When it lands, it doesn't move again.

Lowering her fist, she glances back over her shoulder. Oh, right. ]
