And another one of these!

General musebox post is go! ... Again!

Comment here with a location in the subject line (The Thor, some alien planet, Pandora, etc). You can come up with a scenario or leave your comment blank and I'll do that for you!

Difficult to say. Observations aren't in line with an evacuation or...

[That's about when he notices that tree.]

[And shuts up. Completely. He's too dumbstruck by what he's looking at to form a coherent sentence. Which is some kind of miracle for the scientist.]

... I don't... believe this...

[Excuse him while he heads for that tree.]

It... would appear that all of our energon problems have... been solved.

[How could an organic planet produce energon in this manner? It doesn't make any sense.]

[And if there's one thing he can't stand, it's things that don't make sense. But the energy readings are accurate...]

[Like any good idiot scientist, he reaches out to touch one cube.]

It shouldn't. By all rights, all laws of natural order, and physics, this shouldn't be possible.

[So... what happens if he tries to remove it from the tree. Surely the illusion vanishes then.]
sciencetank: (I made up a word about SCIENCE.)

[He turns it over a few times in his hands.]

No. Energon does not appear naturally in such a state. It's impossible.

[Well. Only one thing to do. Test it. By refueling.]
sciencetank: (Grimlock stop breaking my shit.)

[personal profile] sciencetank 2012-11-07 06:40 am (UTC)(link)
I can't very well have you test it, can I? There's only one way to find out whether or not it's safe.
sciencetank: (Behold my SCIENCE)

Careful. Psh. What is research without a bit of risk?

[But so far, let's see. It all seems to be perfectly normal.]

Seeing as I've yet to fall over dead... it seems safe enough.

If that were to occur, I'm capable of basic field repairs.

[He... picks it up in two fingers. Like it's something nasty.]

... molecular scanning doesn't pick up anything terribly harmful. I can't say what is and isn't safe for an organic being to consume, but it's composed entirely of organic carbon elements...

[Yes, Angel, it's safe.]
sciencetank: (I made up a word about SCIENCE.)

[personal profile] sciencetank 2012-11-07 06:59 am (UTC)(link)
[No one is ever concerned for him, what is that.]

Well. Do take care. I'm not familiar with organic reconstruction.
sciencetank: (Tankceptor has sass and science.)

[personal profile] sciencetank 2012-11-07 07:19 am (UTC)(link)
... I take it from your continued functionality, your fuel is also safe for consumption?
sciencetank: ("Till All Are One" quote goes here.)

[personal profile] sciencetank 2012-11-07 07:23 am (UTC)(link)
Since it's rather impossible for energon to grow on a tree, the entire thing has me concerned.
sciencetank: (No seriously I'm really attractive)

[personal profile] sciencetank 2012-11-07 07:26 am (UTC)(link)
"Looting" is such a Decepticon term.

Salvage is far more preferable. However, yes, I'm in agreement.
sciencetank: (Whose sticky note is this?)

[personal profile] sciencetank 2012-11-07 07:35 am (UTC)(link)
Very well.

[Now then. Time to better examine this magic energon tree.]

Primus--!

[Ever seen a tank jump? It's not pretty. But a shriek was the last thing he expected.]

What--? What is it!
