[Congratulations, Angel. You've put the big tank to sleep. He is out cold.]

[Probably for a while.]

[ A-aw. He's kind of cute.

She watches him a moment, before going off to try and occupy herself somewhere. It isn't long, though, before a nap sounds good to her too. They only have the one bed (didn't really think that trough), so she curls up as far away fro him as possible.

Inevitably, though, she drifts towards the source of heat. ]

[He stays out cold for a while. Hours, probably. That's what a caffeine crash will do to a guy.]

[Eventually, though, he drags himself back into consciousness, with a girl draped on him. Odd.]

[So he pokes her. A few times, in the arm.]

[How... kind... of him.]

[makeshiftwings]

[ She just curls closer, clutching at his shirt. ] Five more minutes...

[sciencetank]

[He peels her hand off of his shirt.]

... Very well. I'll keep time.

[makeshiftwings]

Hm? [ It seems she's waking up anyway ] Perceptor?

[sciencetank]

You still have four minutes and fifteen seconds left to rest.

[makeshiftwings]

I... what?

[sciencetank]

You asked for five more minutes.

You've three minutes, thirty seconds, left.

[makeshiftwings]

... You don't have to keep track. I don't think I was quite awake when I said that.

[sciencetank]

Well. In that case, there's little need to lie down any longer, is there?

[makeshiftwings]

Huh?

[ Oh. Oh gee they're awfully close. Just. Gonna scoot away now.

And turn red again. ] I--- um. How are you feeling?

[sciencetank]

I'm fine. Systems functioning normally...

[He trails off, studying her face.]

... You, on the other hand, appear to be changing color once more.

[makeshiftwings]

[ squeak ] I'm fine!

[sciencetank]

... You just squeaked.

[makeshiftwings]

[ Maybe if she curls up she'll disappear ] I'm embarrassed, okay?

[sciencetank]

Embarrassed? What ever about?

[makeshiftwings]

Because... because I fell asleep on you.

[sciencetank]

Why is that embarrassing? Jetfire did so, on occasion.

[makeshiftwings]

But... who's Jetfire?

[sciencetank]

Ah. A... colleague of mine...

[is that color on his cheekbones there.]

[makeshiftwings]

[ Normally she would tease him but... well. She's good at observing. She can probably figure out what that means. ] Is he... more than just a colleague?

[sciencetank]

Calling him by any other title wouldn't be prudent, considering the situation in which we currently find ourselves. It's far wiser to refer to him simply as a colleague.

[Safer, too. But it's also easier to be practical -- in case the Ark was as devastated as it had seemed.]

[makeshiftwings]

... All right. Sorry I asked.

[ She still can't help but feel a little... well, she's not sure. Disappointed? Sad? She doesn't know. ]
