It's a thin defense at best, but we can work on it.

But it is getting late. Do you think you can manage to stay until tomorrow?

[aerify]

I think I can handle one night.

[But she isn't going to sit still of course]

Is there an open space around here where I can do some morning exercise? That should be okay right?

[hopesillusion]

Let me show you to your room, then.

[ He moves to stand, but pauses at her question ]

Morning exercise such as?

[aerify]

[Standing up as well Thanks Orsino. I really appreciate it.

And I want to exercise my bending. [A beat.] I mean, without actually throwing earth, fire, and water around. If people need to watch me, I'm fine with that.

[Thinking positive here! It's like being at the South Pole compound except more repressive and depressing!!]

[hopesillusion]

I'd prefer not to cause a scene if I can help it.

[ A pause, as he considers this for a moment. ]

Come to my office first thing in the morning, and I will supervise you myself. [ THat should keep Meredith off their backs. Hopefully. ]

[aerify]

Hopefully you have a big office then.

C'mon Naga. [And polar bear dog gonna follow them into calling this a night. There's a LOT to think about.

Time skip to next morning?]

[hopesillusion]

[ He's not gonna make her practice in his office.

But she will find him behind his desk, bright and early, frowning at some papers. ]

[aerify]

[She wakes up and is accompanied to Orsino's office and when she enters, Korra is rubbing one eye and yawning loudly.]

Good morning.

[Bleh, mornings, she does not like them and it's clearly showing :||]

[hopesillusion]

[ He glances up from his work and flashes her a rare smile ]

Too early for your liking?

[aerify]

I can't say I slept restfully either so that didn't help.

Soooo anyways. What's on the agenda today? I mean, if there is one. One that can help me out.

[hopesillusion]

I thought you had some exercising you wanted to do first.

[aerify]

Ah! [Pats her fist in her palm.] Yes! I said that.

Then the real question is how are we going about that?

[hopesillusion]

Outside, first of all. This office is barely big enough for me.

[aerify]

Alright! Can't wait to get started!

[Stretching her arms and then lightly cracking her fists. She's a rarin' to go!]

[hopesillusion]

[ well, he can't fault her enthusiasm. He leads the way to the same courtyard as before, which is secluded enough to remain empty, and motions to her to proceed.

He figures if he stands there frowning, that will keep Meredith at bay for a little while at least. ]

[aerify]

Okay, let's see...

[She walks to the middle of the courtyard hands on her hips and tapping her foot thinking of what to do first. Well, first some light stretches! With that done, she begins to bend.

Well, not bend really; she did say she wouldn't use elements, but she's performing different movements and there's something that stands out about certain movements.

First, strong and low stances with some light stomps on the earth.

Second, she makes large swoops and leaps in the air, pretending that she's manipulating flames.

Her third style is much more elegant and soft- well at least for her, but her arms and legs align itself and move much more smoothly; like waves!

She considers doing some airbending moves, but if she had to be honest with herself it's much more easier with something trying to hit her like the moving gates. There's not a lot of strong wind to practice against anyways. So for a number of minutes she just continues the others a bit slowly sometimes speeding up and then slowing down again.]

[hopesillusion]

[ He probably looks more intrigued than he intended to, and some of the younger mages and even a few Templars gather to watch.

He can venture a guess which of her movements correlate to which element, and he is curious to truly see her in action. If this is magic, it's unlike anything he's even seen.

He has no real reason to doubt her, though. ]

[She's concentrating pretty deeply even if she does see people from the corner one eye. After being trapped in a box for what seemed to be too long, Korra really wanted to bring herself back up to speed.

There's a bit of a breeze that's picking up even though she can barely feel it. A thought sort of occurs to her where she just idly remembers how Tenzin lectured her about air being the element of freedom. Irony of ironies.

But there's a leaf that flutters down into and through the courtyard and without really thinking about it, she begins to make spiral movements imitating the leaf across the ground, ending with a low squat and spin.]

[aerify]

[Korra finally takes a chance to take a breather, squatting down, arms draped across her knees. And that's when she finally notices that she has an audience. The young Avatar blinks, but grins sheepishly waving at the mages and Templars]

Morning! Nothing like some exercise to get the blood pumping huh?

[she is so lame]

[hopesillusion]

[ It's only then that Orsino really notices the crowd that's gathered, and he quickly shoos them away. ]

I apologize. It's not every day we see something like that around here.

[aerify]

I kind of figured, but really? No hand to hand whatsoever?

[hopesillusion]

Not as such, but in a pinch, a staff is for far more than just decoration.

[aerify]

[Avatar Aang did use his glider as a staff so yeah she can see its uses]

Well, at least everyone got to see something new.
