Ninja shenanigans

[ there are very few fights where Kasuga has found herself backed - no, slammed into a corner, and she's loath to admit it, but without Sasuke, she can't confidently say she would still be alive.

But she is, and he is, and although their opponent still lives, he's doing so at a safe distance-- far enough for Kasuga to dazedly drag herself up against a nearby tree and fumble for her medical kit. Sasuke-- she'd lost sight of him, and she leans back against the trunk with a ragged breath before she turns her head to see if she can spot him now. ]

Pretty much.

[pinupninja]

But it's not as though we can't still move!

[ninjamom]

But it's not as though we can fight. [ He heaves a sigh ] I'm too tired to argue, and let's face it, we're not much good to anyone like this.

[pinupninja]

... Fine. [ folding her arms over her chest. ] We might as well make the most of it.

[ninjamom]

Might as well.

Go take your bath. I can wait.

[pinupninja]

--? That was surprisingly easy.

[ninjamom]

I'm too tired to argue, remember?

[pinupninja]

At least try to stay awake until I've finished.

[ and off she limps; she's too worn out to argue herself. ]

[ninjamom]

I make no promises.

[ He'll wait until she's gone to slump down to a sit. He needs to unwind after all of that. ]

[ it's a rather extensive bathing process, getting all of the dirt and grit out before she can properly focus on getting clean, but Kasuga's as quick about it as she can manage. Her hair is still damp as she pads back down the hall, keeping an eye out for one tired ninja. ]

[ He is... right where she left him. Sitting down, back against one wall, eyes closed. ]

[pinupninja]

Sasuke. [ a nudge, with her foot. ]

[ninjamom]

I'm awake. [ he cracks an eye open to look up at her ]

Feel better?

[pinupninja]

It's an improvement. They brought in clean water, so go ahead.

[ninjamom]

Thanks. [ he stands, taking a moment to work out the stiffness creeping into his limbs before starting down the hall. ]

Get some rest, Kasuga.

[pinupninja]

... Idiot. [ and she slowly slides down to take his place, watching him go. ]

Worry about yourself this time.

[ninjamom]

[ It takes him a while, since his sore limbs demand a nice long soak, and he takes the time to re-bandage the worst of his wounds. When he comes back down the hall, it's his turn to nudge her with a foot. ]

I thought I told you to get some rest.

[pinupninja]

[ she doesn't reply, head having lowered to her shoulder.

... Yeah, she's resting. ]

[ninjamom]

[ Oh, Kasuga. He scoops her up, padding down the hall, towards wherever it is she's been staying. ]

[pinupninja]

[ she stirs slightly, mumbling a drowsy protest-- not that she's moving much. ]

[ninjamom]

[ He just gives a light chuckle, carrying her into her room and laying her down.

He crouches there a moment, brushing his fingers through her hair. ]

[pinupninja]

[ after a few seconds, she turns her head towards his touch, exhaling tiredly. ] Sasuke...

[ninjamom]

[ not what he expected! He blinks a couple of times ] Hm?

[pinupninja]

You should be resting... [ yeah, she's barely awake as is. ]
