yet another SURPRISE SCENARIO
[ it's tennis practice.
Really.
Because there's a tennis ball and Makie is definitely practicing with it.
... Except the ball is being tightly wrapped by a ribbon, dipping and gliding in the air as Makie arches her back or points a leg above her head and basically goes through her entire routine while treating the ball like a yoyo. This display ends when the ball is released into the air and drops back down into her waiting hand.
So she's kind of an idiot, but when it comes to athletics, she's no slouch. ]
I think that'll drum up interest for gymnastics and tennis! What do you think?

That's a nice song and all, but now he's just so focused on the ribbon again.
so don't mind if his hand just
snaps out to snatch the end of it]

since she's
quickly snapping the ribbon back just out of his reach ]

Because this is kind of home court.
He'll follow her steps in order to close some distance and try, try again!]

but if she's not handing it over yet, he'll try to trip her up a bit. alternating between a double step and a regular step to change the rhythm is his first plan.]

Well, she'd be more confused if he was tossing math problems her way, but this is more familiar ground. All the same, Makie doesn't have Asuna's crazy adaptability, so it takes longer to focus on his steps, even more so when he doesn't have a clear pattern.
Not that she isn't keeping the ribbon out of reach still, but there's a more significant delay. ]
