When Kia and Kosy get... partner-y
[ it's become something of a thing that no one, out of all the men or the good people of Oshu, has ever seen Takane sleep. Of course, they've mostly assumed that she does sleep, like any normal person, but there's been some doubt. At night, she's rarely in bed. In fact, that's usually when she tends to wander, and looking over at her at any given time of the day has her gazing back, serene and alert.
Tonight is seemingly no different. The men are snoring, the animals are asleep on their feet, and Takane is outside. It's incredibly late.
There is, however, one minor difference. While the moon is still present and Takane is indeed seated out there in full view of it and mostly sheltered by the enclosure, she's not standing and gazing up at it. Instead, her usual posture has been compromised by an unusual slump and the support of a nearby post. Her head's chosen to rest against that, while one hand settles limply in her lap.
Her eyes are closed.
Yes, folks. Miracle of miracles, Shijou Takane is actually asleep. ]

which is why he's not surprised when he sees takane on these little midnight strolls. they were similar in that they often wandered off on their own in the dead of night; again, consistency made things a comfort. so he's not shocked at all that he sees takane on this certain midnight stroll. in fact, he greets her with the usual: ]
Yo, Takan--
[ but he stops.
no, this wasn't a regular day or midnight stroll. it's time to approach the girl carefully, because that was, for sure, not something that was a common occurrence in Oshu. or at least not a commonly observed occurrence.
he leans in a bit, beside her. yeah, she was. ]
Hah. So she actually does sleep.

But fond of him she is, and while she'd ordinarily stir under anyone else's scrutiny, Takane's breathing remains slow and even and her eyes stay closed (if ever so faintly red beneath the lower lid for some unknown reason). No need to wake up just yet, apparently. ]

. . . this isn't the usual place to sleep, but he doesn't wake her just yet. someone sillier might think or say that she had been crying as a result of missing her place back on the moon, with that slight redness there on her eyes. then again, those types of people might not be sharp enough to notice anything at all.
he really think it's just like her. ]

Not that Takane would ever actually say that, but Masamune most likely already knows. For now, she's still comfortably (as comfortable as one can get in this position) inclined against the pillar. ]
