[ A few months have passed, both since Rise returned home and the Investigation Team saved the world and stopped the fog for good. And what is one of the younger world saviors doing at the moment, while the outside air is fragrant with drifting cherry blossoms and the sky's a rich, deep blue?

... She's currently half-slumped in a desk in the room 1-2, aware enough to take notes of what the teacher's saying but also absentmindedly scrawling lyrics down in her notebook. Yasogami High has two buildings, the Practice Building and the Classroom Building, and there are students running back and forth between them or sitting listlessly at their desks.

Or staring at particular objects of interest, whether it's the princess-like Yukiko Amagi, Inaba's own idol Risette, or whatever promises to be new, intriguing and/or JUST PLAIN WEIRD. For her part, Rise's just wishing the bell would ring so she could go home. The day's been dragging on and on. ]

[ this causes a few of the students to scatter into the hallway OH GOD CRAZY KNIGHT IS AFTER THE IDOL, while Rise stands frozen, because this is way too surreal. ]

[ but then something clicks. It's been a long time since she's heard that voice, but that enthusiasm unlocks the one memory she needed to be able to react properly. And by react, she gapes. ]

D-don't tell me that! [ and she's past the point of no return now. ] You said you f-forgot last time, and so I didn't think you'd remember that, but I was going to wait, because i-it was still a promise, even if it took years, I was still-- but I really, really missed you, Ven!

[ this poor class is watching this like it's a soap opera. ]

[ Rise's never been hugged by armor before, and it's not the most comfortable sensation, but it's Ven, so she doesn't particularly mind. In fact, she'll even hug back. And blink; did he get a little taller? ]

Dummy... [ sniffle. ] Y-you're worth it, and I promised. And it wasn't that long, just a few months...

[ sooner or later, one of them will notice the teacher CLEARING HIS THROAT. ]
