[ Accusatory or not, the fact that this... girl... giant squirrel girl(???) is pointing at her rather loudly, is just making Yayoi shrink back defensively on her bench. ]
[ If she'd been against it, she would have gently turned him down from the start. But really, when you're dating someone, it's pretty much expected that things like this will already happen.
So Yuri may be slightly nervous, but still perfectly comfortable with resting a palm on his chest and closing her eyes to kiss him back.
[It was good to have a holiday off from U.A. High School. This meant that he could go hang out with his friends and kick back for a little while. He hoped that there wouldn't be any villain attacks happening during this nerd convention, but this is what he was here for. Izuku already had his Provisional Hero License... So he was allowed to use his Quirk to help others in trouble now. But the main reason why he was here was to shut his brain off (as hard as that was) and be a normal teenage boy for once.
So that's why he pitched in to help out Yayoi with selling her manga! Heavy lifting was something that he's gotten good at lately. And also another skill he had was being very attentive. So Izuku had left Yayoi's booth to grab a pair of water bottles. Whenever he returns, he'll be handling one over to Yayoi.]
Kise-san! Um... I got you some water if you were getting thirsty. Everything going okay?
O-oh... thank you, Izuku-kun! [ Yayoi's come a long way from shyly and tearfully cowering in the presence of someone she barely knew; there's still a very slight tremor in her voice when she's surprised, but there's also a grateful smile waiting as she accepts the water bottle. ]
I haven't had a lot of customers yet... but I'm between two veterans, so I thought it might not be that easy...
[Don't mind Izuku as he puts a hand to his chin to do his own personal analysis.]
Um... This could actually be a good thing! The fact that you're close to a pair of pros means that there's a higher chance for you to be noticed. If you were in a corner, then no one would see you... But settling here is a pretty bold move.
[HMMMM.]
If we watch how they work, then it could give you tips for future sales.
It's no problem at all! Heroes always gotta help people out whenever they can.
[While there were plenty of heroes with different ideals, this was one ideal that Izuku wanted to live up to. So with that, he will be heading off with a little wave... Thankfully, this place felt like his natural habitat with socially awkward nerds!]
[ It’s a meeting of brothers and their retainers once the official retinue from Hoshido finally makes its way to the royal palace in Clarines, after a long and arduous journey from far-off lands and climes. Whispers of economic and military alliances abound as the Princes Ryoma and Takumi meet with the Wisterias, in a private meeting from which their respective retainers are exempt.
And the purpose of this meeting is, after all, to establish good relations between the two kingdoms. Thus, with Saizo currently shadowing Lord Ryoma from outside the audience chamber, Kagero has little choice but to do a bit of friendly reconnaissance herself, and set up some minor political alliances of her own.
Which invariably involves her doing it the old-fashioned Hoshidan way—by appearing out of nowhere as Obi reclines upon the branch of a tree overlooking the herbalists’ garden. ]
You would be one of Prince Zen’s retainers, is that correct?
[And he'll come back with a bunch of people behind him. He's looking a little confused and impressed right now that he actually has fans from some of his heroic actions.]
Um, erm... Y-Yayoi-san? [Ahem.] Hi. I think they'll be willing to pitch in to check out your stuff.
[And maybe take a picture of him. He's so confused since he's just a rookie!!]
He's not sure it'll ever get easier to do this. But... maybe that's how it should be. It should never be easier, because it's a precious moment that they share together.
Aka Kuroh is as much as sap as ever.
He pulls back, and smiles.]
... I believe there is a reason there are so many threatening myths about this.
[ It's been awhile since Obi's seen another retainer appear with the stealth of someone this well-trained. He didn't hear a single twig snap or a branch rustle, no scuff of a foot leaving the ground, which would have been frustrating if she had been an enemy.
She also looks about as easy to faze as Kiki, which never bodes well, even as he shoots her an easy grin. ]
[ At least they’re trying to avoid the being enemies part? Kagero is pretty sure her lords won’t fuck it up probably, but when you’ve got the likes of Saizo and Hinata running loose…
All the more reason why she has to play nice here and now. Despite the distance between the two kingdoms, after all, Obi had been nigh-on undetectable had it not been for the fact that Kagero is privy to the same techniques of stealth that Obi likely subscribes to. Indeed, she’s beginning to wonder how much they really have in common…
For now, though, she gives him a soft smile. ]
They have serious matters to discuss. But I hope that we might speak more freely in our privacy, Mr…?
[ Yayoi's doing her best not to melt into her chair, with how nervous she is-- but she'd promised she'd be braver. So she reaches for the first volume and carefully holds it out to the girl. ]
[Aw, man. Seems like the poor thing needs a little more encouragement, and Makoto is more than willing to provide it. Ignoring the fact she's actually the source of the girl's distress, the beastkin picks the nuts up from the ground and turns to give Yayoi a reassuring grin.]
Just leave it to me!
[Seeing is believing, after all. Contrary to her loud entry, Makoto is quiet on her feet, moving quickly but cautiously, careful not to startle the squirrels this time. Once she reaches the tree, she squats down, offering the animals the nuts in her hand. The squirrels approach slowly, their curiosity finally triumphing over fear, and snatch the food from the girl.
It's unclear which part of this spectacle was the aforementioned ooomph, but hey, it worked, right?]
